Letters from the Lavatory .....

I have been turned on by Henry Rollins since .... I first laid eyes on him. I could list the reasons but this will do ....

.... he actually stopped me in my tracks to the point I dropped what I was doing and gave in to being mesmerized by this man on the little screen in someone else's house. I have never forgotten that moment. This is a man who marches to his own beat. That, alone turns me ON beyond belief.

Yeah, I dig Henry but even more I am now his ardent ARDENT admirer for his words. He inspires me to higher degrees of hope.

I am often appalled at another woman (Laura Bush)sitting by allowing so much death by one small man and his cabal ....

Where oh where is Jackie Kennedy -- gracing our White House with her fair and brilliant light --- pounding on Robert McNamara's chest: "STOP THE KILLING STOP THE KILLING" ...

EXCERPT PAGE 101

Behind the scenes, she (Jackie) did not keep silent as the body count mounted in Vietnam. Robert S. McNamara Kennedy's Secretary of Defense, recently recalled that
she confronted him at the White House. "She literally BEAT ON ME with her fist," he said. "She said, 'you've got to stop the killing.'"

.... and we wonder why the good die young.

Don't wonder anymore. They are being taken out.

Somehow, I can't picture Laura doing anything similar considering that there are still suspicions that she murdered her fiancee in Texas and then it was covered up. That's probably how she got stuck with George and I think it's fitting. I had no idea about any of this until I read the police report and interviews and found out the guy who dumped her and was subsequently killed by her in a 'car accident' was dating one of her best friends at the time.

I am currently reading Jack Kennedy: The Education of a Statesman

I can only vaguely remember the shattered faces around me when I asked about the man in the frame and only reading about the tragedies of the Kennedy family previously. This is bullshit; these were not just 'tragedies' as many of us have suspected. This book is an important reminder for the current generations of what really happened and the agenda that caused the deaths of so many Kennedys.

UPDATE: I'm only in the early chapters of this book and before I pass formal opinion on it I am going to finish reading it. There is so much revisionist history going on, I really should be more careful.

In fairness (though it's hardly an eye for an eye type of fairness, is it? and anyway, I don't believe in eye for eye) .. but here is what Jack Kennedy might say to Shrub were he still with us today.

Churchill greatly influenced Jack Kennedy and that would put Jack Kennedy directly in conflict with the Nazi agenda (Bush) For those of historical strength you might remember that this also put Jack in conflict with his beloved father. Seems all the folks who supported STIFLING HITLER at the time were dead within the next four years if they even had a lingering connection with the Kennedys. It's very painful to read again how the world was robbed by this criminal faction resulting in what we are living through today.

FIGHT THIS regime peacefully !! Fight it however you will non-violently but fight it or your younger family members and loved ones will never know the dream of America.

yes,
us people are just poems
we're 90% metaphor
with a leanness of meaning
approaching hyper-distillation
and once upon a time
we were moonshine
rushing down the throat of a giraffe
yes, rushing down the long hallway
despite what the p.a. announcement says
yes, rushing down the long stairs
with the whiskey of eternity
fermented and distilled
to eighteen minutes
burning down our throats
down the hall
down the stairs
in a building so tall
that it will always be there
yes, it's part of a pair
there on the bow of noah's ark
the most prestigious couple
just kickin back parked
against a perfectly blue sky
on a morning beatific
in its indian summer breeze
on the day that america
fell to its knees
after strutting around for a century
without saying thank you
or please

and the shock was subsonic
and the smoke was deafening
between the setup and the punch line
cuz we were all on time for work that day
we all boarded that plane for to fly
and then while the fires were raging
we all climbed up on the windowsill
and then we all held hands
and jumped into the sky

and every borough looked up when it heard the first blast
and then every dumb action movie was summarily surpassed
and the exodus uptown by foot and motorcar
looked more like war than anything i've seen so far
so far
so far
so fierce and ingenious
a poetic specter so far gone
that every jackass newscaster was struck dumb and stumbling
over 'oh my god' and 'this is unbelievable' and on and on
and i'll tell you what, while we're at it
you can keep the pentagon
keep the propaganda
keep each and every tv
that's been trying to convince me
to participate
in some prep school punk's plan to perpetuate retribution
perpetuate retribution
even as the blue toxic smoke of our lesson in retribution
is still hanging in the air
and there's ash on our shoes
and there's ash in our hair
and there's a fine silt on every mantle
from hell's kitchen to brooklyn
and the streets are full of stories
sudden twists and near misses
and soon every open bar is crammed to the rafters
with tales of narrowly averted disasters
and the whiskey is flowin
like never before
as all over the country
folks just shake their heads
and pour

so here's a toast to all the folks who live in palestine
afghanistan
iraq

el salvador

here's a toast to the folks living on the pine ridge reservation
under the stone cold gaze of mt. rushmore

here's a toast to all those nurses and doctors
who daily provide women with a choice
who stand down a threat the size of oklahoma city
just to listen to a young woman's voice

here's a toast to all the folks on death row right now
awaiting the executioner's guillotine
who are shackled there with dread and can only escape into their heads
to find peace in the form of a dream

cuz take away our playstations
and we are a third world nation
under the thumb of some blue blood royal son
who stole the oval office and that phony election
i mean
it don't take a weatherman
to look around and see the weather
jeb said he'd deliver florida, folks
and boy did he ever

and we hold these truths to be self evident:
#1 george w. bush is not president
#2 america is not a true democracy
#3 the media is not fooling me
cuz i am a poem heeding hyper-distillation
i've got no room for a lie so verbose
i'm looking out over my whole human family
and i'm raising my glass in a toast

here's to our last drink of fossil fuels
let us vow to get off of this sauce
shoo away the swarms of commuter planes
and find that train ticket we lost
cuz once upon a time the line followed the river
and peeked into all the backyards
and the laundry was waving
the graffiti was teasing us
from brick walls and bridges
we were rolling over ridges
through valleys
under stars
i dream of touring like duke ellington
in my own railroad car
i dream of waiting on the tall blonde wooden benches
in a grand station aglow with grace
and then standing out on the platform
and feeling the air on my face

give back the night its distant whistle
give the darkness back its soul
give the big oil companies the finger finally
and relearn how to rock-n-roll
yes, the lessons are all around us and a change is waiting there
so it's time to pick through the rubble, clean the streets
and clear the air
get our government to pull its big dick out of the sand
of someone else's desert
put it back in its pants
and quit the hypocritical chants of
freedom forever

cuz when one lone phone rang
in two thousand and one
at ten after nine
on nine one one
which is the number we all called
when that lone phone rang right off the wall
right off our desk and down the long hall
down the long stairs
in a building so tall
that the whole world turned
just to watch it fall

and while we're at it
remember the first time around?
the bomb?
the ryder truck?
the parking garage?
the princess that didn't even feel the pea?
remember joking around in our apartment on avenue D?

can you imagine how many paper coffee cups would have to change their design
following a fantastical reversal of the new york skyline?!

it was a joke, of course
it was a joke
at the time
and that was just a few years ago
so let the record show
that the FBI was all over that case
that the plot was obvious and in everybody's face
and scoping that scene
religiously
the CIA
or is it KGB?
committing countless crimes against humanity
with this kind of eventuality
as its excuse
for abuse after expensive abuse
and it didn't have a clue
look, another window to see through
way up here
on the 104th floor
look
another key
another door
10% literal
90% metaphor
3000 some poems disguised as people
on an almost too perfect day
should be more than pawns
in some asshole's passion play
so now it's your job
and it's my job
to make it that way
to make sure they didn't die in vain
sshhhhhh....
baby listen
hear the train?

Rick Baker and Co. take another slash at the tents

Rules to ban tent cities

St. Petersburg responds to complaints about homeless camping out on sidewalks.

By AARON SHAROCKMAN

ST. PETERSBURG

The St Pete police (like the Tampa Police) never stop serving and protecting ....

The City Council passed a series of ordinances Thursday that would outlaw impromptu tent cities from forming along city sidewalks.

The ordinances, which each passed 6-0, also would prohibit people from sleeping on sidewalks next to residential property and all city rights-of-way if shelter space is available. Council members Rene Flowers and Earnest Williams were not at Thursday's meeting.

The ordinances were a response to the tent cities that have grown in parts of the city since December.

"We are committed to help folks in need. We'll continue to help folks in need," said Mayor Rick Baker. "But we have to protect people who invested in their home and their businesses in St. Petersburg. We have to do that."

The council heard more than four hours of contentious debate Thursday night.

"I have had it with the demands tent city and the facilitators are dishing out," said Lynn Hawkins, a city resident who supported the measures.

(the usual nazi)

Eric Rubin, an advocate for the homeless who opposed the ordinances, said of the 75 tents at the city's temporary encampment on 15th Street, 74 are now filled. Yet more people are still looking for a place to stay, Rubin said.

Rubin suggested that the city lease vacant land it owns for 10 years to become a more permanent tent city.

A coalition of civil rights groups and the Pinellas-Pasco public defender's office also opposed the ordinances, telling council members they may be unconstitutional. Federal courts have ruled that local governments cannot criminalize homelessness, said local attorney Mark Kamleiter, speaking for the American Civil Liberties Union, the Southern Legal Counsel and the National Law Center on Homelessness & Poverty.

City officials say the ordinances make arrest a last resort. No one sleeping in the public right of way, for example, can be arrested if shelter space is not available within 3 miles of the city limits.

It was not immediately clear when the ordinances may start to be enforced.

I'd be willing to bet that it will be purty GD soon.

Pushing Rope had a very good article on this matter but this picture in the St Pete Times which accompanied the Sunday article by Philip Gailey a few weeks back, just stops you in your tracks. Look at those little, shiny faces ... so much like their Daddy. Hope springs eternal until you try to get care for your grievously wounded body. Mr. Gailey of the St Pete Times writes about how the discomfort needs to be felt by inviting these grievously wounded men and women to the White House Correspondents' Dinner. I quite agree.

Blanks and Charges

Okay, tell me if this sounds mercenary. I'm leaving out names and identities for now, and even some words to protect those who frankly don't deserve protection but having never been a RAT (like some) I just don't feel good about spilling people's filthy sides of their lives onto the WWW...

However -- (you knew this was coming, right??) -- I'm willing to disclose same for a fee. In fact, I'm going to disclose some of this in a book which will definitely be for sale very soon but if you'd like to know if your name or some similar aspect that identifies your smarmy and illegal acts towards me and my family have been mentioned I'd be happy to negotiate a fee with you. For the record, save your pennies if I've known you longer than thirty years. Out of respect for you and your family I'll leave your names out. Out of respect for you and your family I have remained silent. Apparently this same respect was not inbred in you. That's a pity but you and yours are safe with me. The ones who took it upon themselves to do your bidding against an innocent family are wide open just like they've left MY family wide open. Herewith I refer to my extended family and network many of whom are currently suffering at your hands. Be on notice.

About Me

ANYWHERE, ANYWHERE LOL, United States
I was born a citizen of the world and have remained such but along with that: I'm a long time Tampa resident. Mixed bag at that as I've seen life here from nearly all angles and while somewhere in there I became slightly indoctrinated, I'm not too proud of the way people have taken over this city and run it with an iron fist for all but some. This city is working hard on creating just two classes. Thems and them dont's and they are working hard to shove some families down into the gutter for reasons known only to them. Some might be as petty as jealousy, some might be politically motivated, some might just be stupid and all are wrong. I want to believe we can get better but that would entail some stuff that I have no control over. I only can control myself and my reactions to what occurs.
