Maybe Charlie IS cool....

I'm still not 'mind made up'.

I'd like to ask Charlie in this ....'season of forgiveness' to DO SOMETHING about the corruption in Florida and in Tampa.

I see him buddying up to these people. I KNOW it's an old system and it works for some.

Hell, it's even kinda funny at times.

But, now it's to the point that it's being allowed to overtly hurt good citizens and children.

Other children are very saddened by this behavior.

Yeah, your children too, dumbass.

I see it in their faces as they begin to harden into YOU.

How can you visit that on innocent children and call it love?

Children are not meant to be your chain reaction.

I like it when Charlie says, "That would be COOL".

His child is alive inside of him.

Let these other children be children for as long as possible.

Let them have REAL childhoods.

Stop their fricking thug parents from ruining everything for everybody with their unlimited greed.

Hell, I'll vote for you for President if you could at least get the corruption back into the decent hands and out of these murderous bastards' hands.

It's TOO MUCH.

Even I can't laugh anymore.

And, I've spent years laughing at and with some of these people.

But when I see them hurting children ... even and especially their OWN -- in the name of 'business' and 'development' and 'doing what they have to do'..... they make me SICK.

STOP IT !!

Hey Charlie ... STOP THEM.

Or at least make them act respectfully again.

And, Happy Easter.

Why do people pay for this

Police chief's deal is no bargain for city

By Times editorial
Published April 8, 2007

If the adage, "Where there's smoke there's fire" is true, Brooksville Police Chief Ed Tincher should be ablaze. But he's not. Instead, Tincher is cool as a cucumber and the ones who got burned are the city's taxpayers.

The city and the controversial police chief reached an agreement last week that allows Tincher to remain on unpaid leave until he retires at the end of this year. That is good news, considering his departure is about 13 years overdue and his credibility as a city department head is stretched out in a similar manner.

How many cops and citizens know about this guy and about bad school superintendents and sheriffs and it still GOES ON UNABATED??? This story reminds me of when Pinellas got rid of the last school super and ended up giving it life insurance and health insurance for LIFE and about a half million dollars in cash ...

The bad news is that the agreement, hammered out between Tincher's lawyer and interim city manager Steve Baumgartner, is remarkably one-sided in the chief's favor. It pays Tincher $28,000, for no apparent reason, to not work until the end of the year, when he was scheduled to retire anyway. So he won't miss his retirement, either.... well, I'm relieved about that !!It gives him the right to take family medical leave and file worker's compensation claims for a health condition, which is the pretext for his retirement. It even bars the city from investigating "any actions taken by Tincher as police chief." (Emphasis added).

WHAT THE HELL??? I want his attorney ....

Well, "any" just about covers it.

But that's not all. This lopsided legal document also forces the city to tacitly participate in burying public records that are directly related to the real reasons Tincher is leaving, which is the City Council's disapproval of him and the findings of an investigation into his conduct. Those allegations include that Tincher discriminated against women, mishandled evidence and sometimes used threats and intimidation to accomplish an agenda of self-interest.

Wow, does this EVER sound familiar !!!! Threats and intimidation ... now WHERE have I heard that?

The agreement Baumgartner and city attorney David LaCroix approved stipulates that the results of the investigation by consultant James Farley will not be put in Tincher's personnel file; instead, a letter of "voluntary retirement shall be placed" in the folder and the city will be constrained from providing any other "comments or evaluations."

WTF???????????????????????????????????????????

That is a deceitful attempt to conceal relevant information from the public and it is incredible that city officials agreed to condone such transparent duplicity.

Yknow what? Most of the city officials were in on it with him -- complicit and averted gazes as he stomped on the citizens .... JUST LIKE TAMPA, folks !

As part of the agreement, Baumgartner wrote in a memo to the council that the investigative report submitted by Farley lacked "clear evidence in support of the allegations," and that is why he decided "not to pursue disciplinary action." That may be the case, but more skeptical observers might reach a different conclusion when they add the latest round of accusations to others in Tincher's past.

While Farley's inquiry turned up no evidence of criminal wrongdoing, it does conclude Tincher was "incompetent and inefficient," and it corroborates a pattern of fear by employees and others who came into contact with Tincher. Just as they did in 1993, when the Florida Department of Law Enforcement investigated Tincher for improperly selling weapons that had been confiscated from criminals, those who were interviewed by Farley feared retaliation. Several asked that their interviews with Farley not be audiotaped for that reason.

Jesus, is it JUST ME or does this sound like people are STILL afraid of this disgraceful asshole hiding behind a badge? Probably a Mason, to boot.

The FDLE did not press charges back in 1993, but Tincher was suspended from his job for a short while. Meanwhile, Tincher bullied the police captain who blew the whistle on Tincher's gun-selling venture, and several police officers who testified before the city's personnel board said they feared retribution from their boss.

This guy should be in state prison !!!

A few years later, a woman who was preparing to testify that Tincher made unkind remarks about another person said the chief came to her house and spent two hours trying to persuade her to change her affidavit. She described the experience as "frightening."

State prison !!

Both examples showed extremely poor judgment and should have resulted in more severe punishment of Tincher, if not his dismissal. Now the city has been presented with even more anecdotal testimony of an atmosphere of fear as it relates to Tincher's reign.

Tincher's 29-year tenure in the city police department -22 as chief - is impressive. He deserves credit for the good he has done, and it is unfortunate he has health issues.

But that doesn't mean the residents of Brooksville owe Tincher anything beyond what they offered, and he earned, as a city employee. And it certainly doesn't warrant a hurry-up-and-hush-up pact designed to whitewash a spotty history.

The ink is dry on the exit document, so it is too late to do more than be hopeful that a new law enforcement leader will restore credibility and professionalism to the police department, and ignite an across-the-board camaraderie.

I've been following this story closely and hoping something would actually be done.

Nope.

So .. well, now I've had my time to opine.

Same thing in Tampa.

And, the Mayor connects you to them live, right from her office. Hell, I went to school with MOST of them.

And, they don't mind trying to intimidate me even when I know who they are.

What does that tell you?

It should tell you to take their badges away before they hurt someone or someone has to videotape their asses in order to prove what they are doing to innocent citizens.

Too bad someone didn't think to videotape Ed.

Couldn't even get people to talk on tape about him.

Yep, the minute fear takes over --- you might as well kiss life goodbye.

Know where you stand and stand there.

Blanks and Charges

Okay, tell me if this sounds mercenary. I'm leaving out names and identities for now, and even some words to protect those who frankly don't deserve protection but having never been a RAT (like some) I just don't feel good about spilling people's filthy sides of their lives onto the WWW...

However -- (you knew this was coming, right??) -- I'm willing to disclose same for a fee. In fact, I'm going to disclose some of this in a book which will definitely be for sale very soon but if you'd like to know if your name or some similar aspect that identifies your smarmy and illegal acts towards me and my family have been mentioned I'd be happy to negotiate a fee with you. For the record, save your pennies if I've known you longer than thirty years. Out of respect for you and your family I'll leave your names out. Out of respect for you and your family I have remained silent. Apparently this same respect was not inbred in you. That's a pity but you and yours are safe with me. The ones who took it upon themselves to do your bidding against an innocent family are wide open just like they've left MY family wide open. Herewith I refer to my extended family and network many of whom are currently suffering at your hands. Be on notice.

About Me

ANYWHERE, ANYWHERE LOL, United States
I was born a citizen of the world and have remained such but along with that: I'm a long time Tampa resident. Mixed bag at that as I've seen life here from nearly all angles and while somewhere in there I became slightly indoctrinated, I'm not too proud of the way people have taken over this city and run it with an iron fist for all but some. This city is working hard on creating just two classes. Thems and them dont's and they are working hard to shove some families down into the gutter for reasons known only to them. Some might be as petty as jealousy, some might be politically motivated, some might just be stupid and all are wrong. I want to believe we can get better but that would entail some stuff that I have no control over. I only can control myself and my reactions to what occurs.
