Faith-Based Gambling

There are several local gambling venues in Tampa, FL. Given the change in the Florida laws recently, all of these places are now as able to become a Casino as the ones in Las Vegas.

It's extremely interesting to me that in many ALL of these locations "churches"are buying up these properties. NOT just ANY churches but right-wing churches.

They could use a Dr. of Dickology there to figure out how to rob the FEW winning patrons on their way home.

Aghast, perhaps you say .. churches are NOT political. Right. Go to one. Especially at polling time. LOL. Why do you think they always had the Kennedys pictified coming out of their Catholic churches? Well, besides the fact that like most Democrats they've had a great many people in their families taken out by those who abhor unity and humanity and brotherhood.
And so the mob (of many faces) went in with their witch hunts and got some pedophiles and probably aLOT of innocent men and took the Catholic church to it's knees.

Most don't seem to notice that this was strangely coincidental with the splintering of the Democratic party and Hitler's Bush's rise to power.

Well, to make a quick point: Here's the deal.

We've got three gambling licenses in Tampa --- all the holders of ALL OF the largest amounts of property in the areas surrounding SAME are guess WHO/WHAT ??

Yes, CHURCHES.

Christian, right-wing fundamental churches. GOP'er churches. Churches with members whose associates of same with the Department of Homeland Stupidity attempt to threaten other property owners to sell and inveigle to coerce those same innocents into involving themselves in some imagined war on drugs ..... LOL. Hard to stroke a stroker, eh??? Voxers are NOT participants in the war on drugs. Or the war on terror. My only participation is to shout into the wind-tunnel that all of this is BULLSHIT. These 'wars' are just a funnel for your dinero.

Get the homeless shelter built already, Metro Ministries. One step closer .....

Oh, and for the slow seats. I've been on the left all my life but never knew it because I DONT DO LABELS. I've never heard even ONE of these people mention any dislike for the Jewish folks. EVER. I almost married a Jewish fellow. Went so far that his VERY JEWISH mama checked me out thoroughly !!! And liked me. Liberals are very accepting and extremely loving towards all other people. Hello, it's where the people come together. And the labor parties.

Although I will say that the Canadian inside joke for 'unexplained building fires' is Jewish lightning. That's what my best friend told me and she is expert on all things Canadian (as a Canadian) The Canadians are better at their differences. They acknowledge them and MOVE ON already. (update --- the urban dictionary actually had some room for jewish lightning which I then linked up) Now, this is something I had never heard of until a short time back. Wow, how bigoted. But, Canadians don't do bigotry like Americans do ... and Americans are just being tricked into it by the hate-baiters. We're ALL equal !!! Shoulder to shoulder. These words shouldn't even have to be necessary in a loving world. That someone says someone hates their creed just because the person disagrees with them ....

Okay, I'm pressing the ignore button on this. LOL. Yeah, I know. It's PAST time. My apologies. This doesn't count for infighting among progressives. (kate is not a progressive) Anyway, she started it. No one called her out. I have always been the soul of compassion and kindness towards Kate. It's all there in her blog comments, too. Maybe tomorrow I'll take all of this off of here. Unlike Kate who thought she was so frickin TRICKY reposting my comment on her blog ---- when all I had done was take it down to post it at Sticks, ergo breaking my link to her 'blog' and putting it up where people would possibly READ it. Unlike the imaginary friends at Mrs. Robinson's blog, at least twelve people read Sticks and three people read here. So, if this disappears tomorrow, it's in the interest of truly showing kate how to take the HIGH road. Imagine, she'll hold on to this for LIFE. While by sometime in the next two minutes, I won't even remember thinking about it. Big difference in our range space, mine/hers. I have no agenda with kate. To get her to explain hers with me would likely involve her in a RICO lawsuit. And, she knows it.



First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you. Then you WIN.

Look for this topic on Mrs. Robinson's blog within the next six or so days. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

And probably THIS cause it's SO COOL. I found it while I was looking for that sanctimonious shot of jeb on his knees before the Pope which OF COURSE his brother George had no influence on choosing him above ALL governors to attend. He's a good christian. I mean Catholic. I mean Christian. I mean reformed Catholic. Just in time to fly to ROME. LOL.
Hey, he's against gambling. I mean he pretends to be. I mean he's against it ............ yet, here it IS.

But, running out of time for KidCare. Can't charlie use his connections to the WhiteHouse to extend our deadline???
Or, are we supposed to believe he burnt that bridge ?? Come ON. Those people stick together like velcro so much one day the front one will stop and they will all have to be surgically separated.

Bundling Amendment Take Heed here's your chance for change

The House of Representatives is scheduled to take up lobbying reform legislation this week, the week of May 21. There is a raging battle being fought over an amendment that will be offered to require that lobbyists disclose the campaign contributions they arrange or deliver to members of Congress. The much larger sums that lobbyists arrange or deliver – the sums they “bundle” together – need not be disclosed by the lobbyist who does the bundling. Representative Chris Van Hollen (D MD) will offer an amendment to the lobbying reform bill to require that lobbyists disclose their bundled contributions. The amendment does not restrict or limit bundling, it merely requires disclosure. While the Democratic leadership supports the amendment, many rank and file members of both parties are indicating real reluctance. Representatives need to hear from their constituents that cleaning up Washington is still important.

Some Love for Driveby Blogger

UPDATE:

It didn't escape me that this post from driveby kinda attempted to marginalize good bloggers but ---- I know that Pushing Rope's work speaks for itself and I feel no need to jump on the defensive. Why? I don't care what any of these people think. If people have agendas and other people don't like them, wait until you too are victimized or a hospital or cop murders someone you love ....
And, BELIEVE THIS: My blog has had a tremendous effect. So, if yours isn't, I'm not sure what you are doing wrong.
I've seen my words quoted so many places even I am surprised. Here's the deal: I'd NEVER put my best work online under blogger and/or without copyrighting same. I just come on here and YAK. And, it's a conversation with whomever wants to read and those I know are reading:
If you want to know how I know that you'll have to come live behind me eyes.


Post on that other blog that I don't do linky-love for ( listen seriously) --- I just don't have any desire to add my name to. I've got all I need with what I got ... anyway -- this is from driveby:

No matter how much we'd all like to deny it, blogs are predominantly selfish endeavours. Sure we convince ourselves that we have great ideas and can pass along nuggets of insight to the blogosphere at large, and even influence the world for the greater good, but we're deluding ourselves if we think that our online words are little more than digital shrines to our own egos. That is why I think the lefties have such a hard time with unity. Right-wingers are used to falling in line for what their talking heads claim is the greater good as taught by their leaders, that and the ideology of the right doesn't have a lot of room for originality. On the left however are folks of enormous egos thinking that each one has the answer to it all. By the very nature of liberalism, in it's pure form(not that what we have these days even comes close), it promotes individuality and freedom of thought. I think blogging takes that to extreme. Even the slightest disagreements in doctrine result in a splinter effect. Then the incessant infighting takes over. The more "progressive" a blogger considers him/herself the bigger the ego, and the less well they tend to play with others. Also many of them seem to have their pet(ty) projects keeping their attention. Vox(though calling her progressive is rather befuddling to me) with her blogger catfight. Michael with his Stick fight. Now Stogie with his bruised feelings from being shunned by the Ropers and this hard on he seems to have developed for Seminole Heights. It's become almost as bad as the mainstream news with the tabloid nonsense. Before long there will be no room on the party soapbox and all the lefties are yelling at each other from their own self-heaped pedestals while the righties are marching in step and changing things their way with little real resistance. It's sort of a corollary of my earlier comment a few posts ago pondering how the Net brings people together while fragmenting us at the same time(though I didn't quite sum it up that way in the comment).
Still not sure of the batshit crazy variable yet, though I think it's just a digital expression of the loony notes one finds from the local tinfoil hat brigade.

BTW Vox, would it interest you to know that the Tabernacle has had 14 acres for sale with frontages on Nebraska, Bird and the River for about 3 months now? Pity how those Firmen haven't bought that up to build the casino yet. Don't you know that real criminals don't waste time trying to intimidate people like on TV, they buy them, embroil them in litigation, or eliminate them. I think you might have watched too much Scooby Doo and A-Team. Maybe you should park the Mystery Machine in your yard and foil the gangsters with those pesky kids.

Great Idea, driveby ---- but I settled for the cigarette thin cameras run to the DVR. Daphne would be green with envy ..... Oh and I don't watch TV and you don't know the half of it; most of it will never be mentioned in this venue until the live-blogging starts from Sam Gibbons.

I have got no time to play around with a web-site which opens for comments long enough for Bill Sharpe to say something and then closes again THAT QUICK. Amazing, ain't it?? Anyway,
here's my reply to Judy Hill's piece about Sticks' blogging about the deaths of our soldiers from FL in this illegal war .....

MY MISTAKE: As I figured Tommy got my comments but they are here now. I got the message saying duplicate and still they did not appear but then Mr. Bill's did and then I was able to reply quick and then no more posties ..... Sticks is sticks is sticks. Love is love. We're all happy. It's all good.

Hello Judy ! It's good to see you. I am very glad that you will retain your own venue (your personal blog and your website, please inform as to same) to remind the good people of Tampa(such as they are presently) of the need of those less fortunate and other good things that need attention.

Since I have already commended Tommy and spend a great deal of time highlighting these young people we are losing in this illegal war I wanted to mention that there is another war going on against our young people here in Tampa and in Florida. Especially the young men. They are being MURDERED and noone in a position of authority to investigate these murders is doing anything but participating in coverups.

When a family tries to get justice for their loved one they are intimidated by the same police dept that is then found to be planting dope on those they need to 'shut up' or 'threaten'.

People (lots of time it is first responders who are the perps) are getting away with murder. What is needed is a public outcry to stop this insanity.

Please contact Gov. Crist and beseech him to rid of us of this cabal of liars and cover up artists that are allowing our young people to be murdered with no justice for their families. (nope, none of them want the death penalty, Mrs. Robinson)

And, I'll send my usual generous check to Mr. Williams. Thanks for the reminder. I am the one who used to write to you about starting a 'fund for the needy' and we had beautiful conversations about your dad and my mom. Thanks for all the years. Glad you got the opportunity to lend your own brand of charm and heart to Tampa. Who is sorely in need of same. KUDOS to Mr. Williams !!!!
