Family in Danger FIREMEN FIRST

It never DOES surprise me anymore to see the lengths these 'men and women' will go to while retaining their exalted positions in life. Laughable to watch them.

(brief aside ...Honey, anyone who has made a CAREER out of being a bitch??? BORN LOSER ! Seriously. Check yourself.
Product of your education. I mean, I've talked to you --- you're NOT the brightest light in the harbor. And, your poor children .... people are always asking what is wrong with them. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THEM????? I'd hazard a guess but why??? It's not THEIR FAULT; it's YOURS.)

Anyway, that was no burning question in MY mind. I have to respect someone in order to care what they are up to or think of me. You do NOT qualify.

Anyhoooo.... I think it's interesting that after this woman's son was shot twice -- the fund that the St Pete Police Dept keeps SPECIFICALLY to help victims of violent crime was alllllll spent out on the continuing education units for fire and police folks. Because that is SO what it's intended for, huh??

Okay, backpedalling a bit I discovered that the Patterson Fund is distributed thus: Forty percent for scholarships for firemen, forty for policemen, twenty percent to help victims of families. How much do I want to bet that OUT OF THAT TWENTY percent come the administrative costs? Yeah.

Anyway ... seems to me that these folks making 45000 and up PER YEAR could pay for their own college like the rest of us .... and/or qualify for grants (since they're so poorly paid LOL) like the REST of us and out of the goodness of their totally risking their lives for us and civil pride....
MAKE SURE FAMILIES are SAFE before they take money they don't need to likely skip out on classes taught by THEIR FRIENDS. As noted if you read the firemen stalking blog today's post. It's all a big fucking JOKE to them.

I'm sure the Pattersons did not realize this.

And, I already know it's NOT ON the agenda of the Firemen OR the policemen to put the safety of the citizens first.

The St. Petersburg Police Department is one of a few law enforcement agencies in the state that has its own trust fund to help victims in need. But that help is limited.
The Patterson Trust Fund, a private pool of money the department maintains, is mostly used to pay for continuing education for firefighters and police. Each year, the department gives victims about $2,500 for short-term help.
Bridging a gap
After the shooting at Washington's home, the department gave her trust money to pay for a few nights at a hotel. But Washington's $1,700 relocation request was denied.
"That trust is only meant to bridge a gap. We had already spent $700 or $800," said St. Petersburg police Chief Chuck Harmon. "She had several choices not to go back to the house, and she chose to do it."
Washington said she had no options. "We were nervous and scared," said Washington, a stay-at-home mom whose income is dependent on child support and disability. "But we knew we didn't have enough money to keep staying in motels."
That day, Washington tried to find some semblance of normal life. She began to clean. Telvin went out for a haircut.
On his way home, men began chasing him. Someone pulled out a large black revolver and fired. The teen was rushed to Bayfront Medical Center with gunshot wounds to the shoulder and buttocks. He was released from the hospital two days later.
Advocates contend that it would be cheaper in the long run to help people like Washington when the violence first occurs.
"What will be the cost to our community of not moving someone into a safer place?" Howley asked. "Suppose someone is shot and they're paralyzed and on Medicaid. What if someone is shot and killed and they were a bread winner and the family is debilitated?"
Of the almost $2-billion in federal victim compensation funds, about $590-million was distributed in fiscal year 2008, she said.
Howley's group is hoping to get more funds released in the future to help victims.

Okay, tell me if this sounds mercenary. I'm leaving out names and identities for now, and even some words to protect those who frankly don't deserve protection but having never been a RAT (like some) I just don't feel good about spilling people's filthy sides of their lives onto the WWW...

However -- (you knew this was coming, right??) -- I'm willing to disclose same for a fee. In fact, I'm going to disclose some of this in a book which will definitely be for sale very soon but if you'd like to know if your name or some similar aspect that identifies your smarmy and illegal acts towards me and my family have been mentioned I'd be happy to negotiate a fee with you. For the record, save your pennies if I've known you longer than thirty years. Out of respect for you and your family I'll leave your names out. Out of respect for you and your family I have remained silent. Apparently this same respect was not inbred in you. That's a pity but you and yours are safe with me. The ones who took it upon themselves to do your bidding against an innocent family are wide open just like they've left MY family wide open.
