If they can take down a governor .................

I am Don Siegelman, a Democrat and I served as the Governor of Alabama until Karl Rove targeted me in a political prosecution. My story, as described in CBS’s 60 Minutes is just one example of how Karl Rove subverted our Constitution and corrupted the integrity of the Justice Department.
I was convicted of something that The New York Times said,”… has never been a crime.” A former Republican Attorney General of Arizona said on CBS’s 60 Minutes, that “they couldn’t beat Siegelman fair and square so they targeted him with this prosecution.” I was THE blue dot in a red state that became Karl Rove’s target.
My investigation was started by Karl Rove’s client, the Alabama Attorney General, and I was brought to trial one month before the election, by a U S Attorney who was the wife of my Republican opponent’s campaign manager- a thirty year friend and political associate of Rove’s. After the trial, a Republican lawyer gave sworn testimony to the House Judiciary Committee that Karl Rove was directing the DOJ to prosecute me.
My sentence was enhanced for speaking out against the political nature of the prosecution. Handcuffed and shackled, I was immediately removed from the courtroom and taken to a maximum security prison where I was put into solitary confinement.
Nine months later, I was released in an extraordinary ruling of the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals saying there are “substantial questions of law and fact likely to result in reversal”.
Robert Wexler called for an investigation into my case, and has stood firm against those who prefer to run out the clock, and let those who committed the real crimes get off the hook. No one has fought harder for me or for bringing Karl Rove to justice than Robert Wexler.
But this fight is not about me, it’s about our country, restoring the law, and bringing Karl Rove to justice.
Robert Wexler has shown that strong Congressional leadership is our best insurance against the abuse of power that Karl Rove has waged against the American People.
Now it’s up to us to continue this fight for justice and to restore our democracy.
Now, we must fight for Robert Wexler. Please help me keep him in office by contributing to his campaign.
We must send a message that it is un-American to have US Attorneys targeting people because of their party affiliation. If they can bring a Governor down, they can do it to you or a member of your family.
We must also send a message to Robert Wexler's challengers: “We will not let you will not remove our allies in Congress who stand with us in this fight against the subversion of our democracy.”

A few things today.

Before I get into the 'first of all' (LOL) there is a BIG DEAL going down in WA circa Mar. 19th. Be there or be square. Get the details from The Court of Impeachment and War Crimes.
I'm pretty sure I'll be there .... you can get arrested or not. I think ALL THE BEST PEOPLE WILL BE. LOL. My son made a pretty keen observation on the laughable 'justice system' in the United States and I agreed. Some of the brightest lights in history have been arrested way more than several times. And, currently, I think we're all aware that the criminals are USUALLY NOT the ones who are going down. Plenty of people jailed illegally. Plenty of people risking arrest so the rest of us can fuck around blogging.

Okay then ....

First of all, people should NOT be afraid to say their life is in danger. I do believe my life is in danger and I am going to do what I can so that NO ONE EVER feels helpless again. Not on my watch. FUCK THEM. Maybe people will learn to be more careful who they try to back in to a corner. GET YOUR HOOKS OUT OF MY FAMILY. NOW. NOW. From Greene (and the rhyming word) on up. (totem pole like action LOL)

Having said that .... it's been too long since I've linked up Ed. Dickau, a blog friend who works HARD for impeachment and was as disappointed when Dennis dropped out as I was when Edwards dropped out.

AND, PLEASE DO contact your congressman because Governor Don Siegelman was sentenced to prison for a LONG TIME and he was framed by the GOP. Big surprise there. I'll get into that more in a bit but I wanted to be sure you didn't skip the bottom of the post or the discussion at Majikthise concerning Don Siegelman. Where, yes, you'll find another link to take action to help Don Siegelman.

Dr. Know of Gone Like the Wind is where I first heard of Jill Simpson who was the witness that revealed the setup of Don Siegelman. Wouldn't you know that as soon as she lost her usefulness to the GOP they denied even KNOWING her?? He's not the only one they murdered (of course) (U.S. Attorney David Roy Atchison whom they painted as a child molester and then found 'unresponsive in his cell) Mr. Atchison was investigating (TOMMYTHEBUG: this US ATTY was working on a fraud case, that tied in the Bush Crime Family. But, you know reading all this stuff caused me to be VERY WATCHFUL as they try to set myself and others up to look like car crashes or suicides. I've NEVER driven into a wreck and I am not in the least suicidal. Neither were any of these folks.

I don't know if they'd gotten all the threats that I have or I just have better connections.

I'm well aware that some who point me towards all the stories are as threatening as the stories themselves.

Still, I feel good and I LOOK GOOD. I've got the most awesome tan in February. Took my stalkers and those I love to the beach the other day. Some of us had more fun than others. LOL.

Maybe the only beautiful day, besides today in the last week or so. I'm not just beautiful (LOL) I"m LUCKY and RICH.
