Looking to Leahy and Conyers Congress Subpoenas
The LINEUP of those who consider themselves to be above the law. If I were subpoenaed to appear I would do so or a sheriff would come to my home and compel me to do so or impel me to jail after a brief stop in front of the judge. That's what subpoenas are about. But that's the world of a law-abiding citizen. Here's those who are different:

I don't have a lot of time lately (obviously) but I thought of so many funny things first tip when reading this.
So, I'll just drop them off for your viewing pleasure.
Congress subpoenas 2 former Bush aides

WASHINGTON - Congress issued subpoenas Wednesday for former presidential counsel Harriet Miers and political director Sara Taylor, reaching directly inside the White House for the first time in the probe of the firings of federal prosecutors. (picture georgie running to and fro celly phone in hand begging deddy to help)
The Bush administration appeared in no hurry to encourage the pair to testify, (ya THINK??) as the subpoenas demanded. Complying could set a precedent for testimony by another adviser not yet on the subpoena list: presidential counselor Karl Rove. (buh bye Karl the craven)
The Democratic chairmen of House and Senate committees implicitly threatened a constitutional showdown (bout freakin time!!) if the White House does not comply with the subpoenas — or strike a deal. (like RESIGNING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
(listen if they get this straight he'll be gone and I'll be quiet at last until next time. LOL Seriously, I keep waiting for the Constitution to show UP!)
"The bread crumbs in this investigation have always led to 1600 Pennsylvania," said
House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers (news, bio, voting record), D-Mich. "This investigation will not end until the White House complies with the demands of this subpoena in a timely and reasonable manner so that we may get to the bottom of this."
"The White House cannot have it both ways — it cannot stonewall congressional investigations by refusing to provide documents and witnesses while claiming nothing improper occurred," added Senate Chairman Patrick Leahy (news, bio, voting record), D-Vt.
White House officials pointed out that White House Counsel Fred Fielding already has offered a compromise by suggesting that Miers, Taylor, Rove and their deputies be interviewed by committee aides in closed-door sessions, without transcripts. (this sounds familiar eh? Bush is BIG on closed transcriptless, closed doors) Leahy and Conyers have rejected that offer.
"The committees can easily obtain the facts they want without a confrontation by simply accepting our offer for documents and interviews," White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said Wednesday. "But it's clear that Senator Leahy and Representative Conyers are more interested in drama than facts."

Oh and here's some more THREATS lodged by firefighters. Let's replace ALL of them and start a new tier of folks making a reasonable salary who aren't stalking women and children with county vehicles.
I must say that this week they are behaving better. (after the dumptruck convoy incident and a few others that are just stupid) BUT, I think part of that may be they're trying to keep a low profile and not run anyone over while they try to jack us for a few million more. Split a few million by 700 !! That's still a bit of change, eh?? Even given the fact that they have to take care of all the retirees who are in later-life good paying jobs -- they invest it and are still splitting up a chunk of change. It really wouldn't take MUCH to start over. And get some decent people with integrity. There ARE a few of them who don't stalk -- or at least a few who don't enjoy it but those guys are dying off and being lost through attrition.
