Oh BULLSHIT !!! Tim Mossgrove

UPDATE: Apparently this "accidental burning popcorn" is a new way that fire depts have found to make some dinero. Jesus Christ. Google it. Actually PLEASE use other search engines before they disappear.
EXCERPT: At our Civic Center buildings we continue to see a high number of instances of employees burning microwave popcorn and triggering the building smoke alarms. This is a serious issue which requires Fire Department emergency response, building evacuation, and resetting of building systems. Each evacuation causes disruption to City services for at least 30-40 minutes and has considerable actual costs to the City. It also poses safety and security issues, especially at the Justice Center which includes jail facilities and active courtrooms.
In May, we had the most recent building evacuation at the Justice Center due to burnt microwave popcorn. This is the eighth time in less than three years that we had to evacuate 400+ persons from Justice Center due to burnt popcorn. We have also had multiple evacuations of 300+ persons at City Hall and Seattle Municipal Tower due to burnt popcorn

Okay I've worked in like ... ENOUGH places that have microwaves .... EVERYONE knows who is making popcorn. Everyone. And everyone knows it. For God's sake. This is in Brooksville, HOTBED of illegal, illicit, immoral and downright CRIMINAL officials. (hey lemme hold your pain pills, man)

Yeah, it's kinda hard for me to believe that this ONE guy: the firechief .. is the ONLY public official who would "CERTAINLY NOT" try to intimidate the mayor. Of course not.
There's 20 or so people in the building. Out of that --- 2 were busy. That leaves 18. Surely some of them can be 'cleared'. Likely what happened is one of the swell firemen or their wives or etc... slipped in to the building and turned the microwave on for 20 minutes or so. AND, who evacuates a building with no smoke???? (not to mention the so uncanny it's canny TIMING)

UPDATE: And LOOK: they remodel with fire just like Tampa !!!

I don't understand -- with a nearly indicted (retired in a timely fashion) chief of police, a fired city manager, a fire chief spending over his limit .... what the hell is the problem with the MAYOR taking this for what it is??

Madam Mayor --- it was a threat. If you don't see it maybe you know about it. Maybe the threat is just for the people of the community of Brooksville.

Family member born there. Loved that place. Last few times I visited it looked depressed and anxious. Had a tense feel to it. Needless to say I wasn't too suprised to see that they've had a great deal of trouble there with their public SERVANTS. I'll link it up if I can find it fast.

BROOKSVILLE - As people lined up in the heat outside of City Hall on Tuesday afternoon, some aimed glares at Fire Chief Tim Mossgrove. (cause they KNOW, DUDE. We ALL KNOW and we're F'ING SICK of it.)

The chief had just walked up the stairs for what was expected to be a long and perhaps intense meeting with City Manager Jennene Norman-Vacha on financial matters when the building's fire alarms went off.

Norman-Vacha, who was on the phone, came out of her office confused and looking at Mossgrove. The chief told a receptionist that the building needed to be cleared.
As 20 or so people baked in the summer heat, some wondered: Had Mossgrove ordered a fire drill to strengthen his hand in dealing with the city officials?
"Absolutely not," he replied.
The culprit was much less sinister: microwave popcorn.
Evidently, someone using the break room in the Hernando County Property Appraiser's office on the third floor had left a bag in the microwave oven a little too long.
Workers returned to their areas shortly after the evacuation, although some were a bit miserable on the third floor because none of the windows open. A few oscillating fans tried to disperse the pungent smell.
Rather than suspecting a power play, Norman-Vacha said she was comforted by Mossgrove's presence during the evacuation.
"It's a good feeling to step out and see your fire chief right there," she said.
As for who burned the popcorn, no one was claiming responsibility. "I think they're a little embarrassed," said Chief Deputy Appraiser John Emerson.

You mean to tell me that someone in that office does not take the time to read the instructions on making popcorn. Normally, 2 or 3 minutes is sufficient. Anything more is asking for trouble. What an idiot?
