I've been lucky and Merry Christmas
I've been lucky enough to have loved some incredible people and even luckier to have BEEN LOVED by some even MORE incredible people. Sometimes probably better than I deserve.
I always had a soft heart. Someone's hurting .. I knew it.

Well, let's just say that if it weren't for all that good luck my life would be a LOT harder. I am a very lucky person.
I do miss my family a lot. I've had this 'parade' article folded up around here since OH 2003. I highlited what was (for me) one of the most important things I've ever read.
Loretta Lynn's husbend just was not good to her in many ways for many years. She used to be in my life more when my family was alive because a few were always watching tv. It's NOT that I'm lonely. That's not it AT ALL. I never talked to them much, either. It's that I'm lonely FOR THEM. Because they let me be. Let it be ............... let it be let it be let it be yeah let it be whisper words of wisdom let it be ..
So, I'm sure I've spent a spare moment here and there quietly rolling my eyes at this or that country while secretly developing a surprising fondness for some of the folks. George Jones, Johnny Cash (one of my heroes) ... silly old Elvis .... too many of them.
And they've had hard lives many of them. Like Ms. Lynn.
Her husband died and after all he did to her ... she said some of the most searingly beautiful things I've ever read. Maybe you have to lose enough people to GET THIS. And, my people were pretty damned cool. It's why when I look at the shattered mosaid of my family I treat those who perpetrated this sickness with a great deal of anger ... because to not be angry would be to try to understand what drives a person to be a hated, hateful motherfucker. They just are. Something happened, maybe nothing, they enjoy it, they're still little boys/girls inside pulling wings off butterflies and trying to make themselves feel bigger by hurting people who don't even realize they are the enemy half the time. Sickos. I go ahead and love them anyway and because of that I am angrier than ever.
I'm a god motherfucker and it's judgment day.
Loretta is a little gentler ... (I had that choice taken away) the human ocndition is not so easy for me ... I was raised to get on with it and love one another ...
Never realizing that others are just not quite up to those standards. Doesn't make me better. Makes me different.
