I'm one of those immigrants who would probably be taken as an American if it weren't for the Florida or Tampa or southern or biker/sheriff/tpd/elite/latino (yeah yeah I know) bent for finding a reason to cause a person to be named an 'enemy combatant' for convenience. (they need to steal your property, wanna call you a rat, pretend you are the problem they are having for innumerable reasons all related to doing what they are told ALL FUCKING DAY (does that never grow old, being a sharecropper???) and stealing so they don't have to really work)
I know I've blogged a number of times that not one person in my immediate family is a Northerner or a Southerner or anything but an avowed American. The South wants us to go home to a North we don't call home so they can rise again in what is mysteriously not even a war and a drug/gambling dynasty that the southern can't stake claim to.
All these stupid motherfuckers are being lied to. AND, they have been for a long long long long long time.
Anyway ...
I've noticed a number of excellent reads emerge to usher in the whole wild eyed southern boy deal ... you know the flag, the boat find in the hillsborough river (see I'm thinking they knew it was there all along or stole in there and stuck it in there out of someone's garage) I notice things.

At any rate, I've always noted that none of us lived here during or before the civil war, you can't SEND OUR ASSES back to europe, florida IS NOT YOURS whatever you've been told from birth .... and I do not understand the north south angst. I DO KNOW that abraham lincoln's efforts to preserve the union are being rewritten as an effort to satisfy the european banking powers. Both of these things might hold water. Abe WAS a Republican, remember??
Anyway .... I think ALL war and hate is ugly so naturally I'm a fan of Abe because thanks to him for whatever fucking-reason-you-want-to-believe, there is NOT some ugly fucking wall across America .... dividing the planters from those crazy fuckers who took what they had.....
I found the answer last night. To that ugly fucking flag. Truth to tell, I think the union jack is just as ugly. I used to love ONLY the american flag but guess what?? Given what flags now represent to me I counted up the number of flags I'd have to fly if I were to 'declare a side'

Now, even though I've NEVER and would never dream of demanding an explanation from people I love as to why they'd have a loyalty to a 'battle flag' I've stumbled on an understanding of same. Wow. I feel good. I always like to have perspective. Don't mistake this as me understanding why some people call it heritage when it REALLY IS HATE. You can tell the difference. I love the heritage people and the hate people but I only respect the heritage folks.
