I'll just tell you from MY perspective --- these less-than-primates actually sent one of their (supposedly beloved) children to leap in front of my car one evening when my boyfriend was driving. Big fat smile on his less-than-innocent face. This kid is only 13 or so ... I know him, his mother and the rest of his clan .... Can you IMAGINE people who would take a chance on their child being brain-damaged for life or maybe KILLED so that they could sue you and take your home?? That is what we are dealing with here.

Lest you consider this my imagination. Protect your property.

(I'm not really too worried about this: I have an UNBLEMISHED driving record. Criss-crossed the country repeatedly, driven in several other countries and on entire other continents, driven everything there is to drive except for those big ugly trucks --- It would certainly be very odd to have some horrendous accident involving all kinds of injuries considering I've had 'safe driver' on my license since they invented the stupid term. BUT, for the rest of you who are unaware ---- watch your ass and protect your property from these less-than-human things) Because mark my word -- it's the only reason for this 'gap'. Notice who supports it: Storm shutter Posey. LOL !!!!

Of course, these lovely folks and their entire clan are included in an expanding RICO action against the CITY County and named individuals, including every department in this one-cow town.

I was actually shocked that some 'woman' would send her own flesh and blood to leap in front of a car. But, why would that surprise me? These are the same folks who celebrate when their parents die. Mo money Mo money ... bigger house .... mo money mo money. Imagine this kid growing up KNOWING the value of his life. Cute kid, too. Whenever I see him I think ---wow what a fucked up life you're stuck with.
For his mother and father: I have to say that here I draw the line. I don't think about people like that, I believe there is evil embodied on this earth and this couple and their kin are prime examples.

No PIP until at least Feb. 15
The latest car insurance deal still must be okayed by committees and the Legislature.

TALLAHASSEE - Florida's recently expired no-fault system will remain a memory until at least Feb. 15, under the latest changes to legislation that would revive it.

Mandatory laws that required drivers to carry $10,000 worth of personal injury protection (PIP), which paid for injuries no matter who caused them, disappeared Monday, and lawmakers are meeting in a special session to consider a proposal to bring back the no-fault system.

Until then, the current auto insurance system that allows the at-fault party to be sued even if the at-fault driver has PIP coverage, remains in place for nearly four more months, said the House's chief auto insurance negotiator, Rep. Ellyn Bogdanoff.

She told lawmakers during an insurance committee meeting Wednesday that the state Office of Insurance Regulation can't handle the "logistical nightmare" involved in reinstating the old no-fault system now and then enacting reforms in a few months. She also said that insurers had the same complaint.

"I think we create more confusion by attempting to create three systems, rather than two systems," said Bogdanoff, a Fort Lauderdale Republican.

Her counterpart in the Senate, Bill Posey, R-Rockledge, said he agreed with Bogdanoff that pushing the PIP revival back to Feb. 15 was the "only way we could make a smooth transition."

Lawmakers on insurance committees will get to vote on the proposal with the delayed start date today, and then the Legislature would also have to pass the bill.

Many of the major insurers and trial attorneys had been hoping to get a later start date.

"It's true it would have been a logistical nightmare, but for consumers it was a confusing nightmare," said William Stander of the Property and Casualty Insurance Association, a group that would prefer PIP to remain off the books. "It's smart to make it a clean break with no old PIP intervening."

If the bill passes with the Feb. 15 start date, there's a greater likelihood that more drivers will feel the impact of no-fault's disappearance. More drivers would get the opportunity to renew their policies without PIP and more drivers will get in accidents, which can result in more lawsuits.

The only thing that would change immediately upon the bill's passage is that the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles would get back its strengthened ability to enforce that drivers carry the current minimum auto insurance requirements: property liability coverage.

SPIEGEL ONLINE: So what are the options in Iraq?

Hersh: There are two very clear options: Option A) Get everybody out by midnight tonight. Option B) Get everybody out by midnight tomorrow. The fuel that keeps the war going is us.

SPIEGEL ONLINE: A lot of people have been saying that the US presence there is a big part of the problem. Is anyone in the White House listening?

Hersh: No. The president is still talking about the "Surge" (eds. The "Surge" refers to President Bush's commitment of 20,000 additional troops to Iraq in the spring of 2007 in an attempt to improve security in the country.) as if it's going to unite the country. But the Surge was a con game of putting additional troops in there. We've basically Balkanized the place, building walls and walling off Sunnis from Shiites. And in Anbar Province, where there has been success, all of the Shiites are gone. They've simply split.

SPIEGEL ONLINE: Is that why there has been a drop in violence there?

Hersh: I think that's a much better reason than the fact that there are a couple more soldiers on the ground.

SPIEGEL ONLINE: So what are the lessons of the Surge?

Hersh: The Surge means basically that, in some way, the president has accepted ethnic cleansing, whether he's talking about it or not. When he first announced the Surge in January, he described it as a way to bring the parties together. He's not saying that anymore ......
