UPDATE: This supposedly 'deranged' man has thus far communicated with police and released EVERY hostage. hmmmmm He's well-known in the area for being 'mentally unstable.'
Yet, they've let him wander about freely for years supposedly during EVERY OTHER Presidential campaign only THIS TIME he strapped a 'bomb' on??

It's an excellent piece which rightly points out that the 'RIGHT" will never take back their slanders against Carter's character which filled the air when Carter wrote the overview of the Israeli-Palestine situation.

President Carter has not minced words. As I blogged in the past he referred to Bush's actions in not recognizing the 2006 Hamas elections as CRIMINAL. Quite right.

I wonder if 41 can buy 43 a Nobel ???? I think we should start a petition to deny him a library behind what he's DONE TO education in America. While we're at it we should take back George Sr.'s.


Carter also was VERY CLEAR when he stated that Bush had taken a radical departure from every previous administration with his actions on Iraq, and then DUBBED Bush's foreign policy as THE WORST in HISTORY.

Quite right.

Personal Meandering

Yesterday, while aimlessly staring in to space (but the mind, she is ALWAYS going)... and waiting for someone I love ... but in no hurry ... I was 'treated' to the most 'uncivil' exchange ever witnessed outside the Godfather.

I don't curse much in person. Once I did a piece here by request for someone and they requested that I 'clean it up.' Which I did. I know there are a 'certain group' of people who really don't like nor use curse words and 'in person' you probably couldn't tell the difference between them and I. I've traveled in some pretty 'high-falutin' circles and I've also done my time with the street peace wagers .

Once I counted the # of times my first boyfriend said "FUCK" while he took me to work -- about 18 blocks --- and it was HIGH. It bothered me some although I laughed about it. At the time I didn't curse much, no one in my family did. My Grandfather and Grandmother didn't like it although expletives were used for bad offenses OR in the company of da family only.

I worked with this cool chick. She was only part-time but her mouth was SO FILTHY you could hear it ringing in your ears all week. I called her the Virgin Mary. Man, she did look so sweet and innocent ... it was pretty droll. We used to send beers out to our customers and once were scared to death that the whole parking lot was going to have to be dug up over one getting stuck in the tubes. So, while I did not particularly enjoy cursing, I didn't care what anyone else said (much) I was cool in most every way and I was a lady who didn't want to curse around her beloved family ... if you've ever heard me curse you know I don't either/or give a FUCK what you think OR I am very comfortable around you. Mostly the former.
Then a few things happened: One of them is that George Wayfar Bush stole in to my White House. Fuck was the first word popping to mind. Fuck started getting used a lot more.
Boyfriend at the time was a College Prof so his weekend language was pretty filthy. Like me, on Monday he switched back to civility and urbanity.

Things changed again.

George stole it AGAIN. Current-ish boyfriend. Three dates in: Loud!! "That MOTHERFUCKER" reading my emails pertaining to George W. Bush. I was very comfortable around him and also --- it totally slipped out which is WHY I never cursed AT ALL when I was younger because I KNEW my Grandpa would eventually hear me and that would NOT DO.

I think he's very proud of me right now. He came for a visit finally (yeah he did) and he seemed very pleased.

But, you still won't catch me cursing a whole lot in public or around strangers ...

Fuck EVERY OTHER WORD. With no emphasis ... just fuck that fuck this fuckin servic when will that fuckin be doen goddamn this that and him.

Whew. My beloved got in the car and I said I'm going to clean up my blog, people will think I'm trashy.

C. When George leaves office I'll have no one to call a motherfucker.

Worst Movie Critic. EVER. Heloise BlogCritics

I'm pretty sure we DID NOT see the same movie. I watched this movie a total of three times; twice in the same day. Each time it made me cry. I saw it alone and then with a small group. Each of them wanted to pay to see it again. And, so, we did.

Heloise must have a HARD-ON for Redford. I'm kinda ambivalent. He's hot and I like his message in this case. I can't imagine what he and Meryl Streep had to commit to in order to get this movie out in the superb condition it was in with only Starbucks Bcoffee as an obvious ad revenue.

I don't really have time for this today but if I could find the movie playing somewhere else I'd be there ... for only on the large screen will I find more of the names of the books that Dr. Malley had in his office.

Heloise is a. not very observant b. has never been to a street rally which she purports to support as she tears down Redford c. probably DID leave the movie to go shopping.

You'll have to read the whole review but here's an excerpt:(or four)

However, I found Lions For Lambs lame, to put it simply, or, a rip-off, to put it rudely. Redford and Cruise have the perfect vehicle with which to air the dirty laundry of the politics of war. Instead Redford oversimplifies a red-hot-button issue into a uniform, neatly folded stack of clothes that the average audience will not unfold and wear.

Yeah, um I didn't GET THIS at all, Heloise which is why I'm PRETTY SURE you left early. The movie did start a bit slow but quickly built and captured your interest; the scenes were tight and well-chosen, actually SHOWCASING Robert Redford's ability as a director. There isn't a MOMENT of waste or wonder or even the tiniest mistake .. NO. Every scene is riveting IF you're watching. Conversation is conversation. Again -- not a word wasted, each syllable carefully chosen and enunciated.

I think the great métier for this movie would be to give back and to give credit and power where it is due, to activists, online, on the streets, and in makeshift camps outside ranches, where America is searching its political soul. Those people are not represented in this movie. And I predict they won’t care about Lions For Lambs' ultimately lame message.

Here, she's plainly full of shit. Redford pushes back his hair to show an ugly scar of 57 stitches he received demonstrating on the streets against the Vietnam War after his return from two combat tours of duty. His closest friends, three of whom died and one of whom is serving life in prison are depicted with him on the wall (wearing fatigues in Vietnam) and referenced. The camera also does a slow pan past framed pins from elections, candidacies and various movements that Redford has dedicated his life to. That they are framed shows their importance but the little things escape some, I know.

Maybe Heloise doesn't realize why these particular shots make it past the cuts. I can't for the life of me understand how blogcritics chooses it's critics. She clearly fails, thus. (a few seven dollar words does not confuse some of us enough, Heloise -- I got your metiere', babe) As well, the books on his shelves (Redford plays Stephen Malley, poli-sci prof.) clearly indicate a studied, learned approach to the futility of war and his own politics. Again, Heloise clearly misses these items.

So, Redford is clearly acknowledging and applauding AND PARTICIPATING in the activities that Heloise seems to think he is denying. Or she wants YOU to think it.
His message is to exhort THE REST OF YOU to STAND UP STAND UP. The film closes with graduation hats being tossed in the air and disappearing one by one. Students at desks disappearing one by one. Soldiers ... The last images flash VOTE VOTE VOTE VOTE across the screen but I feel sure that Heloise was NOT THERE for that. I took pictures .... so I have PROOF. What YOU got Heloise?? In fact, if there was a weak part to the film that was it: The VOTE VOTE VOTE should have come sooner. People get up and walk out sooner when they are not as thoughtful as some. No offense intended, Heloise.

So much for predictions. I'm a street person at times and known to do a camp-in or two and the message was NOT lame, Heloise. I DUG IT.

I anticipate a place where the right and left wing could safely face off, stand up, sit down, chat up, and debate the issues with no holds barred. I look for revelation and instead get strong opinion about something Americans are steaming mad about: the War on Terror. Yes, we are mad, yes, we do care. So why couldn't these three gifted stars deliver a movie where we could feel this anger? They did try, but Lions for Lambs is not that movie. Though its tri-member high-power cast make it watchable, the sets are sterile, staged, unreal, uninviting, and the message watered down.


I'm pretty sure they faced off and that's why Tom Cruise redeemed himself with me. He did a PERFECT job portraying a greaser NeoCON, man in an air-conditioned office sending younger men off on a foolish journey ... He's the MOTHERFUCKER who said the landing place was safe for the new Afghanistan strategy .. (ya have to go see it you just HAVE TO, this is said in the movie)Have I ever steered you wrong?? There's nothing watered down, either.

Robert Redford directs and plays the composite caring professor (Stephen Malley), of what we are not sure - perhaps politics, perhaps philosophy.

THere are several spots in this review where Helen portrays herself as an unmatched ASS. The above is one. It's revealed quite early on that the student is a Poli-Sci Major ... which, hellooooooo his Poly-Sci Prof is talking to him about.

Which leads to the next part:

The senator/journalist story, set in Washington, D.C., offers the best example of this movie’s sterility. It comes in the form of missing props. Would you believe that Janine Roth arrives to interview Senator Irving and walks into his office alone and empty-handed? There are no visible recording devices, no microphones, no handlers, no cameras, not even a computer. And most of all, no explanation as to why these tools of the trade are missing. She sits down and takes shorthand notes from a senator who really seems to be the commander-in-chief.


Heloise, are you playing with a full deck or are you a very smart seven year old?
Meryl Streep plays a 57 year old journalist who has been in the business almost FORTY YEARS. She takes notes in shorthand. Big surprise there. Later in the movie her greasy boss threatens her job when she refuses to write more propaganda for the right. And, by the way, Streep questions the handler thing, TOO. Cruise wants it that way. Heloise, that's a pretty desperate hatchet you're wielding. So far, your rating earns an F MINUS. Hope you have a day job. HOly shit on a shingle you're LAME.
If within their heated exchanges we find the philosophy of the movie, then where is its heart? It is found in the lives of two minority students who enlisted into the army "beast." And whose predictable endings are supposed to drive home the point: "Look who's dying in your stead!" But these deaths are shamelessly played like trump cards pulled from Redford's Utah Sundance Tarot deck.

Dear Reader, go see the movie. If I had anything to say about this to Heloise it would be FILTHY. The above statement has NO particle of truth in it. I think Heloise must be Ron Paul's mistress??

The teacher tries calmly, for one hour, to convince his failing student how he could have a better, or a worse, life. He uses two former students as metaphor. The audience should (in a 90-minute span) care about the war on terror, an apathetic white student, and two minority students — it is simply too much to expect. There is not enough time devoted to who these men (heroes?) are. Why did they enlist in the army in the first place? Why did they trade a cozy college niche for cold battle? Why are these two fired up about the war and the white students not?


I take that back. Heloise is just NUTS. She's ABSOLUTELY STARKERS. This is NOT what this is about, the student is NOT a slacker... the color plays have nothing to do AT ALL with the premise of the movie. It's very clear why they enlisted, which AT LEAST ten minutes is spent explaining. I'm sorry Heloise, maybe if you had gotten a crib sheet??

We see bits and pieces of how the soldiers get hardened for combat. The climax comes "Sundance style"


God, Heloise, if ya wanna DO Redford, this is not the way to his heart. It's pretty obvious your problem is with Redford so you mercilessly and dishonestly shredded an AWESOME movie as some type of childish 'blowback' or something. You remind me of someone ............. some genius blogger with a two-face mouth. Holding up one sign and selling a war on terror and her military supported lifestyle (deaths of INNOCENTS on your hands, babe)

But other than that, just what did Malley’s former students do during the war? Well, they talk a lot for one thing — talk in the chopper before battle, talk during a flashback class presentation (it stank). Then predictably they talk (even though half-dead from injury) before dying together on a cold, craggy outpost in Afghanistan. I really wanted to run out and go shopping just three minutes into the film, because I felt a bunch of talking, preachy nonsense coming on (how right I was).

I'm pretty sure she did. Run out and go shopping. Maybe for some Lasik or some cosmetic surgery. Veneers, anyone??? New boobies? Heloise can take ya there ... cause she is NOT watching the movies she is reviewing.

Yep, I guess if it were my last few moments on earth ... I'd talk to my best friend. Oh, and teh class presentation? Only one of THE BEST parts of the movie. Full of character and hope and charisma and LOVE for all. Heloise is full of something else.

Honestly, this is all well-intended emotional bait. But meaning what? Meaning that we will not win the war against terrorism and the Taliban because we [read America] are not honest, or because we are dishonest in our reporting or coverage of the war? I am not really sure what I am to believe, feel, or think about this 90-minute exercise in existential fatalism. I have to give the film a shaky B+ for acting, effort, organization, theme, and presentation. But for holding my interest, I have to give it a solid D for dull and dreary.

Heloise .... first of all --- there is NO SUCH THING as a war on terror but right there you revealed your agenda.

I think next time you review a movie you should NOT swallow your hard-core tablets first ... and also you know .... save your shopping list review for later so you can concentrate on the dialogue. (and scenery)

WHICH, AFTER ALL -- would be considered by some to be part of a movie R E V I E W.

I'm late today because -- well, I started off last week with the 'another Florida LEO murder" knowing FULL WELL that I would end up being VERY angry about same.

Sure enough .... today Sheriff Nugent had his say .... with the background I have in this experience I'll just say .... he's got a LOT OF FUCKING NERVE speaking to a grieving family like this AND publicizing a family's private thoughts while they are operating at an incapacitated level: STUNNED by the MURDER of their young son.

And, of course, I had today slated to do some research which I did after I read the below and viewed the St Pete Times article as suggested and also made several comments which I'm sure did not follow up the brownshirt comments mostly already there .... I'm about to go check and then RIP THE ARTICLE TO SHREDS for it's blatant SPINNING of a murder...... rife inconsistencies ....

That way, he can make his killer deputies sound good. Why did they not give the name of the third deputy? It's probably another controversial one. I'm sick and tired of these pat answers and this negation of the value of a human life. Especially the part where he says the young man's friends 'got into some bad stuff' and Kyle allegedly followed along. Yeah, and he and the murdered boy's family 'go WAY back', BUT he did not mind viciously assaulting the character of their DECEASED SON to assuage his UNNAMED (in sum) deputy of guilt. WTF? Friends like that .........

I'm REALLY REALLY REALLY sick of some BOYS pinning on badges and strutting about like they're all that . I found better examples of manly attributes in first-graders and younger.

BROOKSVILLE - Sheriff Richard Nugent received the call last week just after 2 p.m. He was painting at his family's place in St. Augustine, where they went for Thanksgiving, when he learned two Hernando deputies were involved in a shooting that left 25-year-old Kyle Gabelman dead. (there were way more than two. Notice below how amazing it is that ONE named has never shot their gun ... hmmmmmm )

The name jolted Nugent.

Gabelman, who did lawn maintenance work, and Ryan Nugent, now 26 and serving in the Army in Afghanistan, went to school together. They spent nights at each other's homes. And they played on the same Dixie League baseball team, coached by Nugent.(hmmmm wonder how FAIR that WAS??????????) The sheriff's chief deputy, Mike Hensley, went to church with Gabelman's parents.

"His mom and dad are two of the nicest people you could ever meet," Nugent said. "Our hearts just go out to the Gabelmans." (which REALLY makes you wonder when he trashes their kid in the next breath)

The sheriff spoke for the first time publicly about the shooting during an interview with the St. Petersburg Times. (so the first thing he says is to praise not only his own deputies but his SON and then trash a deceased child)

Nugent said his son and Gabelman split ways in high school. "A group of Kyle's friends started doing bad things and he got caught up with it," he said. "The last time they hung out was maybe eighth grade, maybe a couple times in the first year of high school." (score TEN for the shooter, TEN for deputy dawg chief)

Nugent doesn't remember when Gabelman began homeschooling. He knows a few years after his son lost touch, Gabelman began to do drugs and get in trouble with the law. Court records show a DUI charge in 2004 and one for retail theft in 2007. (FUCKING SCORE FIFTY for the shooter, ONE HUNDRED FOR DEPUTY DOG CHIEF -- jesus CHRIST on a fucking pony --- two fucking MISDEMEANOR arrests DOES NOT a career criminal, drug addict MAKE --- besides -- like so many others --- it seems young Kyle Gabelman had become a TARGET for Florida LAW ENFORCEMENT or just had INCREDIBLY BAD LUCK. Maybe he knew something he was not supposed to know due to close contact with a LEO family and ... was a target for years until with the sheriff blamelessly OUT OF TOWN they finally got their chance)

But Gabelman said he was turning his life around. He called Nugent about two weeks ago to inquire about a job in law enforcement. (reaching out if it's even TRUE)

"Kyle said he got better," Nugent said. "I don't think it was true. I think he was in denial." (HEY NUGENT ---- here's a personal FUCK YOU from the Voxers)

Nugent gently told Gabelman that his criminal past would prevent him from getting a job at the Sheriff's Office but encouraged him to apply to a smaller agency. "I didn't want to burst his bubble," he said. (fucking DICK (hah just noticed == his mama named HIM right). Misdemeanor ARRESTS do not impede one's career desires in law enforcement holy SHIT the Tampa Fire Dept would SNAP HIM UP .... )

Arriving back in Hernando County last week, Nugent first met with the two deputies involved in the shooting - Michael Glatfelter, 45, and Christopher Croft, 33 - and another who had contact with Gabelman in the back yard before events escalated. (possibly the one who egged him on) AND, does THIS mean that TWO COPS shot ONE MAN?????

"It's not a situation you want to go through. One of the officers, he had 23 years on the job and never fired his weapon," the sheriff said of Glatfelter. "You want to go through your whole career like that. (yeah, this just pisses me off so much I can't touch it right now)

"But the thing is, your training takes over. (uh NO apparently NOT because in a bit DICK says that adrenalin takes over and ACCURACY goes out the window -- so ya get a big goddamn cannon from your trunk and shoot a kid from a few yards away and your buddy HELPS)

Later, Nugent met with Gabelman's parents, Tom and Debbie, and his grandmother. (I'll rely on the grandmother to speak the truth. Grandmothers love their grandchildren with a clarity and passion unmatched)

"We talked for a while," he said. "We go back a long ways." (which is why DICK must have felt so comfortable trashing them(see below) AND their son.

Mostly Nugent listened as Tom Gabelman did most the talking. He felt guilty, Nugent said. He wondered if he could have prevented the shooting by helping calm his youngest son. (yeah, pin it on the parents pin it on the victim --- guilt is the first feeling to accompany the raging sorrow when a young person is MURDERED by LEO and then your thoughts eventually become icily CLEAR)

Gabelman heatedly argued with his parents for hours before the shooting, leaving and returning to their home. The last time he returned with a small black handgun. Once more they argued before Gabelman stepped out the front door and the guns fired, investigators said. (I take EXTREME issue with this: in the first article it stated that the parents NEVER let him IN the house which is why they called the cops to keep him out)

"I told him, I don't think Kyle would hurt you intentionally, but you don't know that and (the officers) didn't know that," Nugent said.

(THIS IS WHERE I GOT SO MOTHERFUCKING ANGRY. THEY TEACH THEM THAT FUCKING SHIT IN COP FUCKING SCHOOL. IT IS THE EXACT SAME THING THEY SAID TO MY FAMILY >>>>>>>) Make you believe they had to take out your loved one 'for your own good'. SAFETY FIRST !!!!!

Tom Gabelman asked the sheriff why they had to shoot him dead and not just shoot to knock him down. Witnesses reported that one deputy fired a semiautomatic assault rifle. "I said the adrenaline takes over and you don't have that accuracy," Nugent said. (DICK !!!! This is CONTRADICKTORY to what you said previously) and why the FUCK DID YOU SHOOT HIM DEAD??????) AND I LOVE how the SOB gets to speak BOTH SIDES. Same old SHIT.

The sheriff defended his deputies' actions and disputed some witness accounts about whether Gabelman fired at them or into the air. But (OF COURSE) he couldn't say more because of the ongoing investigation. (how would he KNOW?? is he fucking psychic?? Or just the usual NEOCON channel to his own private god??) Sure seems like he had a LOT to say considering there's a gd ongoing investigation.....

"Based upon what I know," he said, "I'm very confident" the deputies will be cleared.

Yknow what DICK???? ME TOO. Those murderers always ARE. Or they have a crackhead friend push your kid into oncoming traffic on the Interstate or shoot him in the head and call it a suicide ...... failing that they can beat him TO DEATH in the back of a deathbox with their fire dept cohorts.

Okay, nothing a little trip to the gym won't help me finish sorting out. I feel a bit better now.

To the Gabelman family: I did not used to curse this much. I'm very sorry for the loss of your beloved son. After a time, you'll BE this angry. It's a long LONG time to live without your family because of a hamhanded motherfucker with a goddamn GED.

Kyle was a sweet child. I taught his older brother. Debbie was my aide in school. I love the Gableman family and they loved the Lord.Debbie & Tom, I love you guys and my prayers are with you. You will see Kyle again soon in Heaven with our Savior.

P.S. Facebook says its users can "opt out" of having their private purchases made public. But the link is easy to miss.⁴ And even if you do "opt out" for purchases on one site, it doesn't apply to purchases on other sites—you have to keep opting out site by site, week by week, month by month. I've blogged about this a few times: The really obvious fact that this financial crisis hoax being put on Florida voters is merely to usher gambling through the lege BUT FAST.

I must be a fricking SAINT. I'm going to point out the TRUTH as I know it knowing full well that it likely won't do ANY good and that if it DOES DO any good, I would cost myself a bundle.
