Great Minds Really DO think alike

So today I was giving the Neil Young CD "Living with War" a listen

If I REALLY love you then you already have a copy of your own from me. (lots of people looking around thinking how much they thought I loved them hehe don't jump maybe I just haven't gotten it to you yet .....)

I had only listened to it a couple of times after the first time. NOT because it's not a good cd but because of a miniscule piece of plastic necessitating a stereo repair and then another and it's one of my car CDs.... Anyway, when I first grabbed it I listened to it all the way through uninterrupted and then I cried for a long time. America the Beautiful.(last song on the album) I can't remember when the last time was that song made me cry since george started urinating all over our constitution.

Fuck george bush. It's still my country. And yours. I gave my heart to America and NOT so that SOB and the rest of you who know who you are could take my country to hell. You may NOT.

So, my thought was to get the youtube of Restless Consumer up here because it's without a doubt one of the best songs on the CD. (the third song) Upon other reading and searching out the song title(it's in the car .... sooo far out there to the car) I discovered that American Wisdom had blogged Neil today. Which means that Rolling Stone must have done an interview with Neil this month and then I found this cool website where ALL of the clips are and if you go to youtube you can see the album in the making. And his new album. Read American Wisdom's blog for the excerpt of the interview. It's cool. Very brief.
This is just funny. I looked at the website again to see what else it offered and it's Neil's OWN. Oh yeah, I'm just the alert one today. dang.

This song really is awesome. Give it a listen. And, even though I'm sure it's still available for free on his website, why not go out and buy a half-dozen for gifts?? At least one for yourself and give yourself the gift of half an hour of Neil. You'll cry. It makes you FEEL American again. Listen to it all the way through for the full experience. And damnit some of you DO need reminded. From a Canadian who gave his heart to America, I give you Neil Young: (thunderous applause)

Wiki Got the Best of me nah nah

UPDATE --- here's a post listing all the spots that covered this story (Wiki-Gate roundup) AND here's a pretty good summation of the idiocy of these dang people: Lessons for Republicans. (as usual I must disclaimer for my Republican friends who just don't realize they are really Democrats, and yeah I have words with the BF about this, too but there are MANY decent Republicans and I love some of them!)

I mean stick to your story and all but for god's sake Jeff, when there's photos and/or IP #'s, give it up. Put a fork in it. (are ya listenin' Tampa??)

There's a HUGE STORY being shoveled over by most of the MSM (the usual suspects of Tampa Trib and SPT) concerning Fl. Lt. Gov. Jeff Kottkamp editing some badddd stories about himself out of the Florida Progressive Coalition website (of which I am a proud member) run by Dave Harper .. the links in fact were to a conservative publication. Fl. Lt. Gov. Jeff Kottkamp says he was just editing biographical information but first he TRIED not having any knowledge of the matter at all while state employees stonewalled Dave Harper who had traced the IP back to the Lt.Gov's staff asst's computer. LOL!!!!!


Finally (okay after Dave Harper threatened to file complaints) Kottkamp had to admit his duplicity but in typical (not a true) Republican (not a true) fashion his backup story was this: "I clearly don't know what I'm doing." (it IS refreshing to see one admit it)

Eh, well, but he IS an accomplished liar. That seems to be getting him places.

Oh and just for laughs, I THOUGHT I remembered something about his vision:

For weeks, bloggers and others who contribute to the Florida Progressive Coalition's political website wanted to know who ''vandalized' ' an entry about Lt. Gov. Jeff Kottkamp, removing information about an age-discrimination lawsuit filed against him.

The culprit in the Internet whodunit has emerged: It was the lieutenant governor himself.
Kottkamp insists he wasn't trying to do anything ''sinister,' ' but to update biographical information.

''To be honest, I've never done editing like that before,'' Kottkamp said Wednesday. ``I clearly don't know what I'm doing.'' (man I can't STAND IT when they try this one ---- playing stupid only works for george and not so much)

That answer is ''ridiculous, '' said Dave Harper, the manager of the FPC website, who lives in Orange County. He said the editing job was an attempt to censor information that made Kottkamp look bad.

Harper said that back in early May, someone went onto the group's website and changed a ''wiki'' note -- an entry that can be edited by the public -- on Kottkamp. Removed were text and links to negative stories about the former legislator, including one from The Miami Herald that reported the state had paid $50,000 in 2004 to settle an age-discrimination lawsuit filed against Kottkamp by a former aide.

Harper traced it back to a state computer. He called and wrote state officials and said he got nowhere until he threatened to report the incident to other officials.
He finally got a short letter from state officials acknowledging the computer used was registered to Larry Ringers -- Kottkamp's chief of staff. Harper posted all of this information on the FPC website.

When asked about the incident, Kottkamp acknowledged he had used his state-owned computer to view the site, which he had learned about from a Google search.
He said he spent five minutes trying to update his address and phone number on his biographical entry.
Harper is miffed that state resources were used to make changes to the entry.
''I feel very much it was censorship,' ' he said. "That kind of government-sponsore d censorship is very Orwellian.''

Here's the REAL story about the Albanian 'rock star' treatment of Resident Bush, wherein they seemed mostly happy to have been able to have stolen his watch. (and kudos and LOVE to the Albanians who had me worried for a minute there if you believe those were even albanians)
