Stem Cell Research vs REEVES Foundaton

I'm not sure I share the joy of stem-cell research being 'stroke of the penned' while we can't figure out how to NOT HAVE WAR. (and yknow that pesky ol GITMO IS STILL OPEN while I thought we agreed to yknow CLOSE GITMO?!??!?!)

Seems very basic to me(HOW TO NOT HAVE WAR): Just don't do it. Refuse to fight. If people are aggressive get them into a cage of some sort or give them some shabby place to live until they straighten fucking OUT.

In the right hands we'll do fine with research ... but the body is a natural kinda thing .. if you listen to your bod it will tell you what it wants. I'm not sure that growing things outside the body and replacing worn out parts is what we're supposed to DO and I do not mean that from a religious view (as I hope you know by now if you read here even monthly) I'm also highly suspicious because of some reading I've done that bush actually WANTED stem cell research because he wants to live forever, he's that awesome ..... this could go very hitleresque ....

I'm VERY VERY proud of Obama for bringing up the 'signing statements' though I really haven't taken the time to read what has actually been done.

Anyway ... all THROUGH the..... What's that asshole's name again???? Oh yeah .. george ... era ........ we were making progress with changing hte forever feel of paralysis.Natural progress ... teaching the body to walk again. Which is probably how it's SUPPOSED to happen. Severe injuries reversed with SEVERE amts of therapy to the injured part. Natural.

Because his children still serve this board I have faith in the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation. (although locally ... viewing our charities and recent deaths and then the actions of the heirs has made me very cynical)

Before we expect to cure everything with stem cell research first realize that many of these 'diseases' are FAUX and many of them that are NOT faux are caused by the environment and toxins accidentally OR purposely applied therein.

Anyway ...

I calmly passed by a newspaper today which proclaimed '16000 troops out of iraq by Sept' ... inside I was smiling broadly.

In my mind ... I am waiting to start cheering until we DO NOT SEND ANYONE ELSE TO AFGHANISTAN.

NO ONE ..

MO MORE WARS.

STOP THE KILLING.

Obama, my brother, bail OUT the REAL free press so they can report on activities of the REAL IRA and yknow ... other important shit that people really WANT THE TRUTH ABOUT.

Okay, tell me if this sounds mercenary. I'm leaving out names and identities for now, and even some words to protect those who frankly don't deserve protection but having never been a RAT (like some) I just don't feel good about spilling people's filthy sides of their lives onto the WWW...

However -- (you knew this was coming, right??) -- I'm willing to disclose same for a fee. In fact, I'm going to disclose some of this in a book which will definitely be for sale very soon but if you'd like to know if your name or some similar aspect that identifies your smarmy and illegal acts towards me and my family have been mentioned I'd be happy to negotiate a fee with you. For the record, save your pennies if I've known you longer than thirty years. Out of respect for you and your family I'll leave your names out. Out of respect for you and your family I have remained silent. Apparently this same respect was not inbred in you. That's a pity but you and yours are safe with me. The ones who took it upon themselves to do your bidding against an innocent family are wide open just like they've left MY family wide open. Herewith I refer to my extended family and network many of whom are currently suffering at your hands. Be on notice.

I was born a citizen of the world and have remained such but along with that: I'm a long time Tampa resident. Mixed bag at that as I've seen life here from nearly all angles and while somewhere in there I became slightly indoctrinated, I'm not too proud of the way people have taken over this city and run it with an iron fist for all but some. This city is working hard on creating just two classes. Thems and them dont's and they are working hard to shove some families down into the gutter for reasons known only to them. Some might be as petty as jealousy, some might be politically motivated, some might just be stupid and all are wrong. I want to believe we can get better but that would entail some stuff that I have no control over. I only can control myself and my reactions to what occurs.
