I also wrote The Govna a letter --- Florida has been too long in the backwater!! Our first responders seem to more and more often be gangsters getting away with murder and having their crimes covered up, while many people have been vindictively convicted of felonies who are otherwise upstanding citizens. Some of the imprisoned who committed serious crimes are welcomed back to Tampa with open arms and given good jobs; others are left to struggle to overcome a miniscule circumstance which effects their ability to lead a productive life. This is BULLSHIT.

(and we're worried about where sexual offenders are?? I'm currently completing a study on where OUR violent offenders are which no one gives a shit about but who is next? Me?? You??? Gays?? Dissenters?? Oh yeah, that's ME again. hehe)
Please join me in requesting that Gov. Crist fulfill his campaign promise and restore civil rights with no silly trap doors for some to still fall through.

One executive order will do it. Which states: If you have done your time you are free to go. This cruel and excessive lifetime punishment MUST STOP. No civil rights restrictions unless a person has been violent with a weapon before they should be allowed to have a gun. People make mistakes (OR GET SET UP) Their families' safety and income should not be forever effected by this.

Dear Governor Crist,

I encourage you and applaud you if you back up your campaign promise to restore civil rights.
I would hope that the good people of Florida won't see more fences and walls placed in the way via any tactics such as the Dept of Corrections and the Cabinet now places on restoration of rights which is just ridiculous, stone-age, Jim Crow-esque foolishness. Restore all the civil rights with one order; people who write bad checks should not be denied a gun permit, for instance. It is preposterous to make this so difficult when people need to be able to protect their families.

No one is fooled by any of these programs. Everyone in the United States and the world knows that Florida does this purposely in a 'good ol boy' attempt to keep control.
Please, bring Florida and Floridians in out of the darkness completely ! Let this embarrassment become part of our past, not dragged forward into the future.

It would be your finest legacy as Governor; a truly historical undertaking.Forgive those who have served their time with an executive order which has no restrictions.End the cruel and unusual punishment of people who made a few mistakes or were set up by localities and allow them to restore their fortunes for the good of all. Leave out any restrictions such as I read now in the rules of restoring civil rights.
Alot of people are looking to you with hope; not just in this matter but in others.
Please don't prove those of us staunch Democrats wrong who believe that you will do the right thing.
All eyes are on you to lead Florida to a hopeful future in the sunshine again.
We are counting on you; for you are the only Governor we have.
Thank you for your time and thought in this matter. Please do the right thing and take your place in history as the man who finally ended this stain on the Florida culture.

Bush and Cheney have misled this nation into an aggressive war, spied in open violation of the law, and sanctioned the use of torture -- among numerous other offenses. Newsweek reported in October that a majority of Americans favor impeachment, and in January that 58% said they wished the Bush administration were over. "Only a great popular upheaval," Howard Zinn said recently, "can push both Republicans and Democrats into compliance with the national will."



We need to end one war and prevent another, and impeachment is the way we will do it.

... Why the Tampa Tribune remained mute on the South Tampa shootings.

I mentioned on Jan. 9th that there were several kinds of cover-up involved in this case which all relate to the nastiness around my property and family.

I guess we can all figure out why they REMAIN MUTE on the Mayoral election.

Can't interrupt the business as usual, now can we?



Man Who Shot 2 Won’t Be Charged

TAMPA - The son of a prominent Tampa businessman acted in self-defense when he shot two men last month, Tampa police and the Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office determined. No charges will be filed.

On Jan. 4, a vehicle pulled behind Joe Pupello Jr., 23, at 3608 W. Tampa Circle, police said. Pupello opened fire as three men approached, acting aggressively toward him and a friend, police said. Two of the men, Steven Stearns and Shane McLaughlin, were shot in the stomach and have permanent injuries, police spokeswoman Laura McElroy said.

The reason for the confrontation was never clear, McElroy said. The wounded men’s statements were inconsistent, she said. I don't understand why more effort was not made to get some consistency. They seemed to find lots of consistency in the 'random' shooting of the cop's brother, you know?

Rick Terrana, Pupello’s attorney, said not only was the shooting justified, but also it was necessary to protect the lives of Pupello and his friend. Pupello knew the men who confronted him and had a longstanding dispute with them, Terrana said.

Pupello’s dad, Joe Pupello Sr., owns the Tahitian Inn on South Dale Mabry Highway.
