I don't have any problem with people who genuinely are or believe themselves to be racists or find some currency in being racists opining and airing and yakking about same. I'm a huge free-speech advocate so .. knock yourselves out. BUT, I reserve the right to move on.

Myself? It's a huge waste of time on a passe' action. We're all living together, we're making it. Just barely. (see below) As people we have way more things to concern ourselves with than taking steps backward and dredging up problems that really NO THEY REALLY AREN'T festering. LOL. But, good try.

I myself am EXTREMELY suspicious of any mainstream attention to divisive subjects (I guess I might as well get used to it) without giving fair time to all players. For instance: myself. I am the other side of the coin because I absolutely refuse to believe and KNOW FOR A FACT that most people do not harbor thoughts of racism.

We're in three or four wars, depending on who you ask. Black, White, Latino, Irish, Greek, Asian a huge mosaic of men and women fighting alongside each other in one illegal war after another. And this was kicked off the front page for what??

Someone's FEELINGS that everyone harbors racism.

So, I call B U L L S H I T !!! Let's re-focus. I love you, you love me, we're a happy family.

Now, let's feed everyone and make sure that we don't allow the MSM to make smokescreens and feed the real fire. The very real effort of the Goverment of the United States to keep the people divided so they can suck up all the goodies and share them with about 13 families..

The oldest trick in the book: Divide and Conquer.

So, while some sidebar activity of purposely driven feelings of imaginary overwhelming harborings of racism goes on, I'm asking you to stay focused on what the deal is:

We need peace.
We need healthcare.
We need love.
We need each other.
We need to stop letting others tell us that we probably are racists. I'm not. I know many who are not. Nope, not even for a moment.
We need to stop allowing this smokescreen bullshit and talk of important stuff.
I'll ask a bunch of black strangers what they think is more important: my ideas or some racism ..... I'll get back to you on that.

DUBLIN, Ireland -- Former President Jimmy Carter accused the U.S., Israel and the European Union on Tuesday of seeking to divide the Palestinian people by reopening aid to President Mahmoud Abbas' new government in the West Bank while denying the same to the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip.
Carter, a Nobel Peace Prize winner who was addressing a human rights conference in Ireland, also said the Bush administration's refusal to accept Hamas' 2006 election victory was "criminal."

Carter said Hamas, besides winning a fair and democratic mandate that should have entitled it to lead the Palestinian government, had proven itself to be far more organized in its political and military showdowns with Abbas' moderate Fatah movement.
Hamas fighters routed Fatah in their violent takeover of the Gaza Strip last week. The split prompted Abbas to dissolve the power-sharing government with his rivals in Hamas and set up a Fatah-led administration to govern the West Bank.
Carter said the consensus of the U.S., Israel and the EU to start funneling aid to Abbas' new government in the West Bank but continue blocking Hamas in the Gaza Strip represented an "effort to divide Palestinians into two peoples."
"All efforts of the international community should be to reconcile the two, but there's no effort from the outside to bring the two together," he said.
The U.S. and European countries cut off the Hamas-led government last year because of the Islamic militant group's refusal to renounce violence and recognize Israel. They have continued to send humanitarian aid to Gaza through the United Nations and other organizations.
In the latest crisis, the U.S., Israel and much of the West have been trying to shore up Abbas in hopes that the West Bank can be made into a democratic example that would bring along Gaza.
During his speech to Ireland's annual Forum on Human Rights, the 83-year-old former president said monitors from his Carter Center observed the 2006 election that Hamas won. He said the vote was "orderly and fair" and Hamas triumphed, in part, because it was "shrewd in selecting candidates," whereas a divided, corrupt Fatah ran multiple candidates for single seats.
Far from encouraging Hamas' move into parliamentary politics, Carter said the U.S. and Israel, with European Union acquiescence, sought to subvert the outcome by shunning Hamas and helping Abbas to keep the reins of political and military power.
"That action was criminal," he said in a news conference after his speech.
"The United States and Israel decided to punish all the people in Palestine and did everything they could to deter a compromise between Hamas and Fatah," he said.
Carter said the U.S. and others supplied the Fatah-controlled security forces in Gaza with vastly superior weaponry in hopes they would "conquer Hamas in Gaza" - but Hamas routed Fatah in the fighting last week because of its "superior skills and discipline."

From Harry Reid a Plea to keep the Democrats in Majority

First of all, when did we become a nation that relies on how much money a person collects to gauge their ability to serve the public with flair, ethics and honesty? Ridiculous. I like the way John Edwards put it best: It doesn't matter how much money you raise or who raises the MOST, just that you have enough to get the job done.
I don't go along with this republican-generated notion that Hillary is a shoo-in because of her 'war chest'. I find myself a bit revolted whenever they use that term 'warchest'. I'm saying that out loud because when I voiced my objections to the tabloids and lady mags using the word 'bump' to refer to human life growing inside a woman's body those idjes knocked it off. Speaking up is good for the population. It's VERY American.
All that said, I know how important it is to keep South Dakota Democrats in office. Help out if you can. The guy DID have brain surgery and we do need to keep his seat and we have a very slim majority. We have to hold on to it in 2008. So, again --- help out if you can.

Tim Johnson is up for reelection in 2008 and while he finishes his recovery we need to make sure he is able to hit the ground running.Next week is the FEC's second quarter fundraising deadline. Republicans and the media will use these numbers as the primary gage of a campaign's strength. Tim can't fundraise for himself right now, so we all need to chip in and help out.

Back in December, when Tim Johnson fell ill, I delivered tens of thousands of get well soon cards from members of GiveEmHellHarry.com. It was one of my proudest moments since launching this community. Well I have some good news to report -- it looks like Tim Johnson will be back at work in the Senate soon.
Tim is up for reelection in 2008 and as he finishes his recovery, we need to make sure he will be able to hit the ground running. While he is incredibly popular at home, South Dakota is a red state and Tim will be a Republican target next year.
Next week is the FEC's second quarter fundraising deadline. Republicans and the media will use these numbers as the primary gage of a campaign's strength. Tim can't fundraise for himself right now, so we all need to chip in and help.
