Funny Martinez should mention this -- Social Security

This is so funny of Mel (don't know what an ethic R) Martinez ...I invite you to go in to ANY social security office in the Tampa area. The majority of people in there are latino and speak ONLY Spanish. The workers all have Spanish accents if they are not black. (less than one fifth of them are white, maybe even less) The Caucasians are under-represented if they are there at ALL. Go check. Go and look before you dare to say different. It's a fact, not bias. Facts are facts. Bias is bias. It's kinda hard NOT to notice when the cacophony is all in Spanish which most people mistakenly believe that auburn-haired ladies don't grasp. Go see if you don't believe me.

I think Mr. Martinez better check around to see what side his bread is buttered on --- he's gonna be screwing "his own people" out of jobs and entitlement. Wow, him and Gonzalez are sure not doing the right Latinos proud. The right Latinos should be voicing this. Some are.

And AINT IT AMAZING that little george (drunky mcstagger) put I-don't-know-what-an-ethic-R-Mel-Martinez on this case???? LOL !!!! I believe the AMERICAN people spoke resoundingly when they said they DID NOT want social security privatized.

How about we take some of that money from the Iraq BILLIONS and keep taking care of those who need help no matter what language they speak ???? hmmmmmm????

He just won't leave it alone. PLEASE HELP TO IMPEACH AND IMPRISON HIS ASS. He'd have you in prison in a heartbeat for any imagined wrong. Ask your CongressPerson to invoke Article 25 of the Constitution.
The "man" has been witnessed to be thumping himself like a primate saying, I am the pResident.
Clearly he is totally UNstable.

Martinez Focuses On 'Entitlement Reform' (he would know about entitlement, this coming from the guy who traveled to puerto rico to save their rainforest as first order of business, the guy who does not return calls or email or staff his office some days) hmmmmmmmmmm

I'm dedicating this to Mel today from his friends at FUCK BOB MARTINEZ. FUCK MEL MARTINEZ TOO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TAMPA - Already immersed in one of the most controversial issues on the political scene, immigration reform, U.S. Sen. Mel Martinez appeared ready Wednesday to leap into another - Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid revisions.

Martinez, R-Orlando, co-hosted a presentation at the University of South Florida by several government finance experts about what they called a looming, potentially disastrous financial crisis stemming from the programs.

What's a member of the Senate doing f'ing around in an executive bureau responsibility????

The story they told isn't new: An aging population is consuming ever greater amounts of health care and retirement benefits compared with the number of workers whose taxes pay for those benefits.

But the experts, including U.S. Comptroller General David Walker, attempted to convey what they said was the seriousness of the problem.

'We're in a $50 trillion hole, and it's getting deeper by $3 trillion a year,' Walker said of the commitments for future health care and retiree benefits.

Martinez acknowledged that Social Security is considered the 'third rail' of politics, like the electrified third rail of a subway train - touching it is said to be deadly.

'But we have no choice but to touch it,' he said, introducing the panel of experts. 'These programs are weak and worsening over the last year. It's time we did something about it.'

'This Is The Time'

Later, in comments to reporters, Martinez added, 'We need reform of the health care system, and we need entitlement reform. This is an opportunity, this is the time,' meaning the period before the presidential election.

Martinez has supported President George Bush's proposal for partial privatization of Social Security. (naturally)

But other than that, said a spokesman for his office, he has no specific legislative initiatives to propose immediately on major changes in Social Security, Medicare or Medicaid, the largest programs among those often called 'entitlement programs.' His goal was to begin discussion of the issue. (again I think the American people spoke on this matter decisively. This is a Hallmark of Bush politics, where they just keep it up and keep it up up up up up)

The program Martinez co-hosted at USF was sponsored by the Concord Coalition, a watchdog group on fiscal policy, which for years has contended that Social Security is fiscally unsound and should be drastically revised.

But the panel included experts with various points of view, including the conservative-leaning Heritage Foundation, the liberal-oriented Brookings Institution and Walker, as well as Concord Coalition head Robert Bixby.

Concord spokesman Harry Zeeve said the group has sponsored more than 20 of the panels across the country over the past 18 months or so, often hosted by members of Congress. (first I've heard of it)

'The organizations don't all agree' on a solution, he said, 'but we agree on the math. So we've stayed away from specific solutions while we tried to outline the problem.'

He said the aim is 'to make it safe for our elected officials to talk about it - to deactivate that third rail.'

Social Security Fixes

Walker suggested changes in Social Security that he said would solve the program's problems and might be comparatively easy to enact:

Gradually increasing the retirement age in relation to life expectancy.

Increasing the amount of individual income subject to Social Security taxation.

Lowering the benefits upper- and middle-income people are entitled to relative to the income they earned while working, known as the 'replacement rate,' and raising that ratio for poor people.

All of those proposals, however, have been controversial in the past.

Walker said the federal budget deficit has worsened in the past few years.

At the beginning of this century, he noted, the federal budget was showing a surplus, and all federal debt was projected to be paid off in a few years. But today, interest on the national debt is more than the cost of the Medicaid program and more than was appropriated last year for military operations in Iran and Afghanistan.

'When you're in a hole,' Walker said, 'the first rule is to stop digging.'

(I'd like to suggest that Walker who obviously has the ear of little George, tell this same stuff to the Resident pertaining to the ILLEGAL IRAQ WAR)

Martinez said a divided government such as the one now in place, with a White House and Congress controlled by different parties, may be the best atmosphere for achieving a solution to politically thorny issues, including entitlement reform and immigration. (he's so smart all the sudden)

Martinez, himself a Cuban immigrant,(and a grade-C actor) has been one of the Senate leaders on an immigration bill that would allow some illegal immigrants now in the country to obtain citizenship by working, not having a criminal record, paying fines and learning English - an idea bitterly opposed by many in his own party.

Even as he hosted a program featuring a Heritage Foundation speaker, opponents outside the USF Alumni Center meeting room passed out fliers citing the foundation's criticism of his proposal. Some opponents call his plan 'amnesty' for illegal immigrants, which Martinez and other proponents deny. The path to citizenship in his bill, he noted, would take most illegal immigrants 13 years.

Blanks and Charges

Okay, tell me if this sounds mercenary. I'm leaving out names and identities for now, and even some words to protect those who frankly don't deserve protection but having never been a RAT (like some) I just don't feel good about spilling people's filthy sides of their lives onto the WWW...

However -- (you knew this was coming, right??) -- I'm willing to disclose same for a fee. In fact, I'm going to disclose some of this in a book which will definitely be for sale very soon but if you'd like to know if your name or some similar aspect that identifies your smarmy and illegal acts towards me and my family have been mentioned I'd be happy to negotiate a fee with you. For the record, save your pennies if I've known you longer than thirty years. Out of respect for you and your family I'll leave your names out. Out of respect for you and your family I have remained silent. Apparently this same respect was not inbred in you. That's a pity but you and yours are safe with me. The ones who took it upon themselves to do your bidding against an innocent family are wide open just like they've left MY family wide open. Herewith I refer to my extended family and network many of whom are currently suffering at your hands. Be on notice.

About Me

ANYWHERE, ANYWHERE LOL, United States
I was born a citizen of the world and have remained such but along with that: I'm a long time Tampa resident. Mixed bag at that as I've seen life here from nearly all angles and while somewhere in there I became slightly indoctrinated, I'm not too proud of the way people have taken over this city and run it with an iron fist for all but some. This city is working hard on creating just two classes. Thems and them dont's and they are working hard to shove some families down into the gutter for reasons known only to them. Some might be as petty as jealousy, some might be politically motivated, some might just be stupid and all are wrong. I want to believe we can get better but that would entail some stuff that I have no control over. I only can control myself and my reactions to what occurs.
