Waste in Small Ways and Large New Feature

New Feature: Peeling Back the Sewer Cover

I'm going to try out a new feature. Like with most of my stuff it's uncertain when it will spill out (time constraints) but I'd like to make it a weekly thing. Certainly I have enough crap backed up to do this every five minutes.
Besides my own horrifying drama I am going to attempt to post at least weekly, the documentation or tales (no matter how small or large) of waste, fraud, intimidation, wrong-headed politics and just plain ignorance in Hillsborough County and in Tampa FL. And in St Pete, Pinellas ... I've had this bit around for MONTHS. I had to take it out of my friend's hand while all the kids chimed "how CUTE, how CUTE." The first one was the "Pound the FCAT" one. The second (13th Judicial Court gavel) was just lying in my path when I was walking to the car one day. It was so close together that the tale told itself ...

Considering that there is MORE fraud and abuse within these two segments of Hillsborough County ...

Dude, it's OUR money. They ARE cute pencils but .... I use a regular pencil. The artists in the family have sometimes had to make do with lesser implements while their hearts longed for pricey charcoals and paper du jour. What I'm saying is LIVE within OUR means.

When family members WERE in Hillsborough County public school the teacher actually TOLD me they would be asking the parents to bring in toilet-paper ... Toilet Paper???

Maybe if they spent less on specialty pencils. I don't care if they are 1000 for 25 bucks. I bet that 25 bucks goes to someone that Elia rubs shoulders with ....

What is it with these Superintendents and the vendor contacts that they claim that only THEY understand/negotiate???????? Then we give em kudos for handling DEATHS well???????
