Speaking of liberal progressive Democrats with a sense of humor unmatched I dug up this hilarious video of Molly Ivins discussing and displaying Texas Ort. I agree that nothing tops a scintillating, razor sharp wit and LitBrit sets a good example many times. As do others whom I keenly admire .... but I'm not always there with the snappy comeback; my best replies come sometimes WEEKS later. (thoughts backed up the reply finally gets to the front, what can i say?)

Damn, there MUST be a market for beLATEd snappy comebacks. Revisiting them perhaps.

I may not always have the BEST sense of humor about the stalking, intimidation and harassment ... and lost jobs, car-wrecks, fires and threats my family is currently suffering as this City and County try to build their casinos on my property without actually OWNING it. LOL (I mean we're not sharecroppers OR --- ARE WE??)

However, I must say I've still managed to see the funny side of a bunch of people with 45-60,000 dollar a year jobs who have been stealing from decent people since they marked them at the border of FL. stalking me around; most stalking victims have NO sense of humor. They are totally without any humor whatsoever .. so I'm alright with my approach. I DO have a sense of humor about politics because I believe that most politicians are selling us down the river. Turn by turn. No one told Nancy Pelosi to push through the Patriot act provisions in the first 100 hours, yet she DID. Buhbye freedom, we hardly knew ye.

As a veddy British girl from a veddy European family (with lots of heinz 57 mixed in).. and in solidarity with LitBrit (our family laughs at funerals of our most loved ones, the British soooo learned to do so ....) and attempting a dual effort to commend and also memorialize the epitome' of WIT, WISDOM, WARMTH and effort to make things better .... (ya gottA see this one)





Actually, I'm going to triple or quadruple-purpose this posting and find another anti-war youtube to step out today for peace as molly advised to do every day. Do my part.


AND, I'm going to say this: I so hold in disgust people who purposely post stupid divisive shit to attempt to drive traffic or comments. I won't even link to this idje but here's an example:

Lauding Israel's unity the day before they attacked the Hamas again. Where's that eyes-rolling icon when you needs it? LOL !!!!

Staunchly advocating for a Republican effort to double up the death penalty when Alan Crotzer hasn't been paid and when all over people are proven innocent and even so AFTER the death penalty has been carried out. Here's an idea: maybe Charlie can figure out how to just set up 'shower gas chambers' ....... and more than double your pleasure and fun.

Some bloggers drive traffic with genius, wit and style and some people have the worst sense of timing. (see above 'teacher')

Which equates to:

Barbaric and thinly disguised via using divisive and painful subjects for personal gain.
Smells like a damned Republican conservative to ME. A war advocate, death penalty advocate, divisive within the Democratic Party .... shall I GO ON??? In fact, folks, do me a favor. Stop emailing me that shit. (I mean thanks for the info but it's okay, I don't want to read it) It's tiresome, redundant, divisive, ill-informed, UNtruthy reading. I already have the tampa tribune for THAT. This follows the pattern of dragging sick ideologies into the classroom which is being discussed all over air america as the techniques of the rising right christian fundies. And that's what she smells like. She's NOT the first person to slither into the Democratic Party and not be a Democrat. In fact, my support for Jim Davis wavered when I found out he'd been in her house. Politricks does not make THAT STRANGE of bed-fellows. Hey, he turned the light on in my son's ROOM; does that make me special? Yeah, because I don't brag about that or mention my wheels every five minutes. LOL.

Finally, as if this hasn't been beaten to death. Go stand outside FSP and wave your sign to kill someone. Whatever. It's like with my x's dad --- when he went for heart surgery the first words I popped up with were "like he HAS one" That's you.

Should the death penalty be banned as a form of punishment?
In a Nutshell

YES

Financial costs to taxpayers of capital punishment is several times that of keeping someone in prison for life.
It is barbaric and violates the "cruel and unusual" clause in the Bill of Rights.
The endless appeals and required additional procedures clog our court system.
We as a society have to move away from the "eye for an eye" revenge mentality if civilization is to advance.
It sends the wrong message: why kill people who kill people to show killing is wrong.
Life in prison is a worse punishment and a more effective deterrent.
Other countries (especially in Europe) would have a more favorable image of America.
Some jury members are reluctant to convict if it means putting someone to death.
The prisoner's family must suffer from seeing their loved one put to death by the state.
The possibility exists that innocent men and women may be put to death.
Mentally ill patients may be put to death.
It creates sympathy for the monsterous perpetrators of the crimes.
It is useless in that it doesn't bring the victim back to life.

NO

The death penalty gives closure to the victim's families who have suffered so much.
It creates another form of crime deterrent.
Justice is better served.
Our justice system shows more sympathy for criminals than it does victims.
It provides a deterrent for prisoners already serving a life sentence.
DNA testing can now effectively eliminate uncertainty as to a person's guilt or innocence.
Prisoner parole or escapes can give criminals another chance to kill.
It gives prosecutors another bargaining chip in the plea bargain process, which is essential in cutting costs in an overcrowded

Those last eight as opposed to the top thirteen are so easily picked apart I'll let the audience do it's own. EXCEPT for I think that it is EXTREMELY important to point out that DNA is only as good as the fifteen dollar an hour person running the tests. It's not irrefutable and as time passes research is showing it is weakening as the final word. It's too easily bought and paid for. If you don't like someone pay a lab tech to fuck em over for you. Too easy.

Oh, and as for closure: NON-existent. Your family member or loved one is still DEAD. This isn't book ends or FOIL we are talking about. There is no closure to grief, just people who rant on and want you to close YOUR mouth so they can advocate state-sanctioned death. Sick and strange *but NOT surprising* coming from a hate-baiter.

Point: Hey Teacher leave them kids ALONE and leave the discussion of the weighty subjects to the bigger minds. LOL !! Black people would really object to you discounting the fact that so many MORE of them are on death row. Molly goes into that, too.

Get the facts straight.

The biggest point: It's not up to MAN to judge. Life is not given by man but by miracle.
And stop trying to drive traffic to your pretend-progressive site with your moronic attempts at creating some controversy. It's been hard for you to pretend I'm commenting there without the ability to get me there, isn't it?? Grow UP !!! And get some ethics. Are we done yet figuring out who is going to win the battle of the wits? yeah, probably not but I'll withdraw to save you face. This really holds no interest for me. I solved all these 'weighty' questions for myself when I was around uhhhhhhhhhhh FOUR.
