Technorati NOT to be counted on
UPDATE: This post takes some patience because it is long and thorough BUT if you read here it's a more transparent version of my problems with Technorati. So, apparently I am not the only one (and another one here) ... this is an ongoing problem and my pinging and bookmarking and refreshing never helped. I see that the Technorati guy is or was ... (this post is six months aged)... willing to help yet the situation remains unresolved. I'm looking for a better hook-up than Technorati as I'm tired of pinging them and realize that part of the problem may be that I have not RTFM'd the blogger code specs but know enough XML and HTML for most stuff that seems to work ass--backwards here. Anyway, two emails on an unresolved issue is my limit ... let's find a new blog advertising service ranking what-have-you ...
I have posted before about Google manipulating search results and the news.
Rupert Murdoch has admitted to manipulating the news on Iraq.
Technorati plays it's part by not properly addressing issues and properly updating links. Myself, for instance. I would not trust them.
None of these are good things.
Do your best to limit your use of these 'things' (couldn't fit rupert in GUI no matter how hard I tried ... well, sorta)
Rupert = MySpace
The boyfriend says we can start our OWN Technorati and me and you and all the people who are nice to us can be KING OF THE BLOGS. And that's about how Technorati seems to work it. Don't trust them. I don't really care, but I know it means something to many people.
