Bit off more than she could chew.............
Juxtapose THIS with MY situation and you get the full picture.911 can't help choking womanBy CAMILLE C. SPENCER but have plenty of time to HELP me out of my home and peace of mind and ability to conduct my life peacefully.
UPDATE 4-13-07
UPDATE: From Mike Deeson: Even more HEINOUS shit from this man among 'men' and this woman among 'men'. These people are in need of a real close real hard look ... come ON they require only a GED or a high-school diploma and some certs. Something is VERY wrong with this picture. Not just what they are doing to me but ALL of this picture. Other families might not have complained. People WANT to believe that rescue personnel are there to help. Clue in: Only for some. Only for some.
I can't COUNT the # of times that a Pasco Cty. Fire Dept. ambulance type vehicle would 'just happen to be' beside ME escorting me down the Interstate (well inside TAMPA)in front of witnesses. Get on, pull in front of me, go slow, or speed up to catch me ... I wonder if this woman was dying while they were out fucking around intimidating me. I pasted it all so that you could read the comments. This is NOT just one guy. It's not just cook. He's just an enabler. They all enable each other.
There are less than 700 of these people in Tampa. It wouldn't be that much trouble to replace them with HUMAN BEINGS.
As well, today one had plenty of time to turn on the siren and dash like a madman/woman in front of me on Cleveland. (you know in their infamous 'at that very moment' sort of way) I hope no one was dying while this was going on. As soon as they get past me, the siren goes silent. Always. In front of witnesses. They must have some BIG OL connections to do this so fearlessly. Maybe some of the people they have helped weasel into high offices over the years?
Just after that happened the most beautiful butterfly in the world swooped down right in front of me and flew along with me ... it was pretty awesome.
I wonder how many people have dropped dead because these guys were busy with EVERYTHING BUT what they are supposed to be doing.
First they centralized the calls so that you could not call them. At the time I said, 'wow, what lazy bastards.' Actually, to be HONEST, at the time I said ... 'yeah, who knows how many people call them? I mean I had called them TWICE in my WHOLE LIFE for directions ... ' and I took their side. Now, given what all the job-shirking has freed them up to do (fuck with people) I say, 'what lazy bastards'.
When I said STOP E V E R Y T H I N G !! I meant it. Everything.
And, my yard was bad today and court's out on the car but I think it was no better. So, I guess the pictifying must continue.

NEW PORT RICHEY -- A woman was choking on a piece of steak. Her boyfriend called 911 for help. But the dispatch supervisor trained to give instructions on the Heimlich maneuver initially refused to get on the line, according to Pasco County documents released Tuesday, because he said "I'm not talking to a hysterical caller."
The March 24 call ended in the death of 37-year-old Nancy McGhee of Land O'Lakes. With the incident under investigation, dispatch supervisor David Cook filed for early retirement last week.
Oh, and the SOB will get his FULL RETIREMENT if you remember my earlier post.
Cook has not responded to calls for comment. yeah, he doesn't like hysterical calls.
The dispatcher who answered the 911 call, Jennie Montanino, does not yet have training to give emergency medical instructions over the phone, according to county records released Tuesday.
In written statements about the incident, Montanino and several coworkers said she called out three times for help before Cook finally got on the line. By then, several minutes had passed and the caller "was at the height of his hysteria," Montanino wrote.
McGhee's boyfriend, Chris Cooper, tried to perform the Heimlich maneuver, but repeatedly told dispatchers that McGhee was not breathing, according to the 911 tape released Tuesday.
By the time the ambulance arrived, McGhee was dead. (maybe they had to come all the way from by my house ......... )
When word of her death reached Cook, several coworkers said, he responded: "I guess she bit off more than she could chew."[Last modified April 11, 2007, 07:16:00]

If they let him retire, without any recourse, pity them. They need to fire him, and remove his retirement all together. And if I was in his shoes, I wouldn't have taken a quick leave of absence, I would have left town. What a disgrace to the public.

This man should have been fired immediately. And then he should have been charged with murder. Had he helped the result may have been the same, but at least he would have made an effort and not stood by refusing to do anything.

This is a text book case of negigence. Mr cook had a duty to act in accordinace to his EMD training and he didnt react the way he should have. LAWSUIT time! both againts pasco county and Mr cook civily. And even a bad lawyer could win this one!

This is a outrage with this action now I belive the entire 911 system is a joke, you call in at a desperate time only to made fun of later. May God have mercy on your souls cause I sure dont.

Wow, after listening to the 911 call, that whole place needs an overhaul!
by Trish 04/11/07 09:31 AM
I have to say, after listening to the audio on Tampa Bay 10 News, the 911 operator needs to improve her listening skills as well. But that is still no excuse for the behavior of the supervisor. My God! What next?
by Cliff 04/11/07 09:29 AM
Cook should be fired and stripped retirement elegabiltiy. He is a pathetic excuse for a leader. Pasco county should be looking forward to a law suit.
by Brandon 04/11/07 09:29 AM
This is an unbelievable story. I have also heard that the supervisor was asleep on the job often and that he was on the phone joking with a sheriff's officer during a portion of the incident. I believe this imposter of a supervisor is accountable.

Isn't there a "Good Samaritan" law that says if you know CPR or have medical knowledge to help someone and don't that you can be charged with a crime? This man should be ashamed. I hope my tax money isn't paying for his retirement. Fire him!
by Margaret 04/11/07 08:01 AM
Head over to ABC action news' site to listen to the 911 call. Sickening Mr Cook, sickening. The other 911 operator isn't much better. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mr Cooper. No one should be treated that way. Cook doesn't deserve retirement!
by Heather 04/11/07 05:50 AM
What a disgusting PIG! This man has no business working for 911 let alone being a supervisor.I'm wondering if this guy is still on the job or if he's on paid leave while this is being investigated.I hope the poor family finds some peace whenthisisovr

Pack your bags Mr. Cook, you should be arrested moments after you have been fired. In other words,I guess you bit off more than you can chew.
by Cindy 04/10/07 10:21 PM
Unbelievable!!! This guy should be brought up on charges if it is possible. How callous and a blatant disregard for the community he is supposed to be helping in case of emergency. Just remember Mr. Cook, what you put out there is returned to you!
by Lew 04/10/07 09:54 PM
Bet he says, Guess I bit off more then I could swallow, when he gets to prison!
by Kim 04/10/07 09:45 PM
Cook needs to loose his state retirement. He needs to be sued. He could have tried to save her. People like him take hope away.
by cindy 04/10/07 09:41 PM
1st of all the 911 operators are there to help us when we are having a crisis and if we are hysterical then they are trained for it.Why is this operator still employed with the 911 system?
by Brenda 04/10/07 09:29 PM
Early retirement??? If this is an accurate account of what happened, David Cook's actions or lack thereof are criminal. He should be held accountable on some level, not just early retirement.
