Would Hillsborough County Censor ??Ask WMNF 88.5

There's no debate in my mind.

In order to facilitate the reading of the storm that got going because of the actions of the tech dept of the Hillsborough County Library System and the staunch objections of the Tampa bloggers and then subsequent dis-information contained in an email from Joe Stines, I'm including all the links that I can and I'm busy pulling them right now ...(by the way, perhaps I was more generous with Joe Stines than I should have been --- this was an experience I had which I duly reported to the bloggers I had time to find it effecting and I am the only one who appears not to have received email from him in response to my extremely polite query. If you look below this post, some time today I am going to be posting the screen shots.) I mean, I have a vivid imagination ... but even I cannot imaginate up a screen capture.

Tommy Duncan at Sticks of Fire covered this but their blog was not effected in any way .... this was what got me going because my content is no MOL sexual than theirs. (initially I thought they didn't like the dildo post...) So, off I went on a search of exactly who and what was blocked.

Anyhoooo -- there's no debate in my mind that censoring was in place ---first of all, I have the evidence --- second of all and not last or not least -----


This is the song that almost got the funding pulled for 88.5 FM when they played it.

And thanks to Mark Frankenberg at American Wisdom who gave me this piece of political
information. Some bad things happened in the year 2000 that caused me to forget alot of sometimes useless detail but the more I read about this the more it sounds familiar so I'm sure it will to alot of you.
A gentleman named John Grant (at the time a Florida State Senator) grew so incensed when he heard these lyrics that he did everything he could to take 88.5's state funding away.... Oh nooo ---- Hillsborough County (and the State of Florida) would NEVER try to censor a political blog. (especially not during election time -- okay now I'm REALLY laughing)

Unless you believe this was an isolated act ... (hehe)

Ask 88.5 if there have been attempts to censor them ....

Did I not tell you all that to begin with? Oh yeah, no ! I was denying it. It's not paranoia when it's hoppppennneeeeeng... (or so I've heard)

I'll enlarge this and post it elsewhere if necessary ..... believe me -- to see the total commitment of Tampa bloggers to freedom of speech it was worth the 1:16 minutes I spent on it. Very frustrating but worth it.
