Passing through the BigK today (don't tell anyone and not for the reason you think --I'm not a snob) ... anyway, I passed this awesome Jim Croce CD and was stunned to see it was 5.99. So I grabbed it. It's not like I haven't made fun of Jim Croce with others at times but there's NO DENYING the man's talent or the loss when he died so young.

He was his own man, through and through. Definitely a threat to the establishment. I can remember suspicious comments when he died. Wow, sometimes I MISS my total naivete'.

Last week I was (undisclosed location I just REALIZED HOWSEXY) checking out this beautiful view and thinking and feeling luck and peace. Like always I think of Iraq and how it's just not the same for them by any stretch of the imagination. Despite John McCain's claim that he felt safe in Baghdad.
I've got TOO MUCH compassion; it goes so far as feeling guilty because I'm here enjoying quiet Sundays pretty much forever and some people can't even GET to their family ...
When I have a subject I am focusing on (eightmillion at a time) I've developed this habit of bringing it to every stop in the road with me. It's how I do so well at any challenge - I live it while I need to. When I'm grabbing a coffee I'm wondering if someone just got their fucking arm blown off in THIS ILLEGAL WAR. So, it's a tough habit to live around. Lots of reality.
Then I pass through goddamn KMart where you can see Mickey Mouse ears atop gigantic Christmas globes for your yard through the cobwebby-stretched-across-the-ceiling-display-of-extra-gore-for-Halloween this year.

All this with a war going on. Human costs of a WAR hidden from us by george and momma barb.

And I remembered about Sunday and peacefulness and how I have ALWAYS resented Sunday work ... I don't care a flip about the religious-osity-ness --it's just MY day.

A little boy pointed out to me that we can't even GET TO Halloween without pushing Christmas through the webs. Both displays have been up since the end of September.

And, so no matter what the Fire Brigade is up to on Sunday (No good from am to pm --now back to the news) I am going to make it a point to blog Peace and Impeachment on Sundays.

Oh --- I keep seeing this bumper sticker: If you want peace work for justice. Still working my head around that one. I think I like it. But hoping it's not another acronym company to set us up with some more jew-spotting on Florida highways.


Peace and LOVE. And a hit of the seventies or sixties. Not sure.

Oh, and you know those dollar bills that say wheresgeorge.com? They want you to log in and input where the bill is at? Of course I don't do anything LIKE THAT but thought it was very cool that someone is taking a little peace sign stamp and stamping in GOLD little perfect peace signs. AWESOME.

And we wonder why 'orge wants to get rid of 'cash' so badly?

In undisclosed locations they'll sell you a wee stamper with IMPEACH BUSH in a little cartoon balloon so it looks like Thomas Jefferson is saying so.

Which, I imagine is the only peace that Father Jefferson and Father Paine get in their graves these days.
