They are demonizing the man who was shot by talking about his thirty page criminal record which they admit was mostly bad checks. The title of the article is 'man shot in pasco county had a lengthy criminal record.

A person can get a thirty page record for bad checks. Each charge separate.
Takes up paper. Missed court dates, more paper. Probation violation. MORE PAPER. It's all to keep the masons in business.
BULLSHIT.

That doesn't mean you get to shoot them with impunity.

Friday's incident was not the first time Berry has fired at a suspect during his 10-year career in New Port Richey.
In 2001, Berry was one of eight law enforcement officers who fired weapons during a 15-minute police chase in New Port Richey.
During the chase, the suspect rammed into six police cruisers and tried to run down more than one officer.
The year before, the American Legion Paradise Post 79 named Berry its Law Officer of the Year for his positive attitude and community work teaching bicycle safety at elementary schools.
On Monday afternoon, no one answered the door at Lee's apartment. Little is known about him aside from his criminal record, which includes a host of convictions for obtaining property using bad checks.
In October of 1993, a charge of battery against a pregnant spouse was dropped. A month later, an aggravated battery charge was also dropped. Lee's last offense was a 1999 probation violation in Pinellas County on a DUI charge.

The family of Mark Lee is very upset with this story!Some facts were very wrong. The story makes him look like a very bad criminal. He was a good man. Before the story prints, the editor should get her facts straight and ask the family about him!

WHAT SHERIFFS DO

With the 'landslide' and 'SQUEAKING BY' reelection of bob white (pasco) and richard nugent (hernando) we see more of the sinister grip that republicans (NOT THE REAL REPUBLICANS but the NEOCONS) are gaining on Florida. But, fighting back you see that they are being held to the letter of the law.

This fits my scenario of the property grabs. He harasses his neighbors (lakeview terrace, anyone I did not even go to see that as I'm kinda living it LOL... they consulted with me ... that dude didn't even have a helicopter to fly over every day sometimes five times a day)

Anyway, it's nice they're charging his mob ass.

Sumter deputy faces charge after fight
A Sumter County Sheriff's Office corrections deputy was arrested Monday and charged with aggravated assault after Pasco deputies said he pointed a gun at two men during a fight.
According to an arrest report, Michael Accardi, 31, has had ongoing problems with two of his neighbors. After an argument with an acquaintance of the neighbors' at a Land O'Lakes Publix on Monday night, the two men approached his car and a fight began.
Pasco deputies said Accardi pointed his Glock 27 at the men and told them to get on the ground.
Accardi spent three hours at the Land O'Lakes jail and was released Tuesday morning on a $5,000 bond.

Sheriff's Office loses one of its spokesmen
Pasco County Sheriff's Office spokesman Doug Tobin has left the agency to become press secretary at the state Department of Environmental Protection.
Tobin, 48, joined the Sheriff's Office more than four years ago, serving as one of two officers responsible for communicating with the media and the public about crime and agency news. He started his new job Friday.

I agree with jj. Sounds like self defence to me also. If 2 guys were going to start a fight with me,I would do the same thing.Can't wait for a deputy to save you, there aren't enough of them.You have to protect yourself !!!!

Just because someone is fighting in his presence does not give him permission to pull his weapon and point it at them. More cops abusing their authority. I'm grateful he was arrested. Maybe the rest of them will realize they are not above the law.

ummm sheriff's Deputies carry off duty. Corrections can also. Deputy is approached by two men and start fight. He points gun and orders to ground, which is what Deputies do. Hes arrested. Whats the problem here?? Sounds like self defense..

LAND O'LAKES — A Pasco County paramedic is accused of stealing money from a patient's wallet this summer while he was transporting the 71-year-old man to a hospital.
Joshua Vitori, 26, was arrested Saturday on a charge of grand theft. Pasco County personnel director Barbara DiSimone said he plans to resign from his job today.
According to a Sheriff's Office report, on July 15 Vitori went by ambulance to a home on Carnation Lane in Zephyrhills, where a man was having chest pains. The man's wife handed his wallet to a paramedic to retrieve his insurance card. A few minutes later, the man was asked for a list of medications and was handed his wallet back, the report says.
That's when he discovered the money — $300 — missing.
After arriving at the hospital, he asked his wife if she had the money. She didn't.
The investigation persisted for months. Investigators interviewed Vitori, who acknowledged having the wallet but said he never opened it or saw any money in it. Another paramedic told investigators he saw Vitori with the wallet but did not see him take any money out.
It's still not clear what evidence investigators linked to Vitori, and sheriff's officials could not provide further details Thursday.
Greg Gude, Vitori's fire chief, told investigators Vitori has had similar complaints against him in the past, the report says.
Vitori, who was arrested while on shift Saturday, could not be reached. He was released from jail later the same day after posting $2,000 bail.
He was scheduled to work Tuesday but did not come in because he had been involved in a traffic crash early that morning.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, he was rear-ended on U.S. 19 by a driver who then fled the crash. Vitori followed until the driver had to pull over because of damage to his pickup. That driver, according to authorities, was New Port Richey police officer Christopher Sutherlin, who was arrested and charged with DUI, two counts of DUI with personal injury, DUI with property damage and leaving the scene of an accident involving injuries. Vitori suffered minor injuries.
DiSimone said Vitori has been with the county since October 2002 and earns about $50,000 annually.
If he does not resign, DiSimone said he would be placed on unpaid leave until the matter is resolved. Because the accusation is related to the performance of his job, he would have to be unequivocally exonerated in order to be welcomed back.
"It would have to be innocent, innocent," she said.
