Lucky Number Thirteen?

As David Swanson reminds us, "it took 13 colonies to throw out the last King George"

As of Saturday, "thirteen state Democratic parties have now passed resolutions demanding impeachment,nine of them since Nancy Pelosi ordered the Democratic Party away from impeachment."

On Saturday, the Massachusetts Democratic Party became
the 13th state Democratic party to pass a resolution calling for impeachment, finding that George Bush and Dick Cheney:

· Deliberately misled the nation about the threat from Iraq in order to justify a war;
· Condoned the torture of prisoners in violation of the Geneva Convention & US
law;
· Approved illegal electronic surveillance of American citizens without a warrant.

Meanwhile, 79 towns and cities have called for impeachment including Detroit, which
recently passed a resolution passed by City Council member Monica Conyers (wife of
none other than Rep. John Conyers, chair of the U.S. House Judiciary Committee)
