apparent bullshit
The original story here sounds like EVEN MORE bullshit than this one.
WHO DOES THIS??
NO ONE !!
No one spreads 'petroleum product' throughout their house to kill themselves. More like to cover up something???? YEAH.
Sounds like the same things as around my house. Only I paid to have my roof fixed and am not single so much ..... BUT .... this sounds like a property grab and a cover up by the fire dept.

Woman dead in St. Petersburg fire
A St. Petersburg woman was reported dead shortly before midnight Saturday in a house fire at 1137 55th Ave. N. The incident was an apparent suicide, according to investigators. Neighbors reported hearing explosions before the house was engulfed with flames. A call came in to 911 at 11:56 p.m. St. Petersburg Fire & Rescue arrived a couple of minutes later, said Fire Lt. Rick Feinberg. When crews arrived they had to force their way in, because the house was padlocked from the inside, Feinberg said. An investigation revealed a petroleum product throughout the inside of the house, where two gas cans were found. The owner's Chevy Colorado truck was found parked out front, although neighbors said she always parked out back. Officials are not revealing the identity of the victim until the Pinellas County Medical Examiner makes a positive identification and next of kin is notified. St. Petersburg Fire & Rescue, St. Petersburg Police, the State Fire Marshal's Office and the Pinellas County Medical Examiner's Office are conducting a joint investigation.

Fire damages home in St. Petersburg
An iron sparked a home fire in St. Petersburg Saturday night, but no one was injured, according to Lt. Rick Feinberg of St. Petersburg Fire Rescue.
Laurel Janeen Stoddard, the owner of the house at 4437 17 Ave. S, wasn't home when it started.
The blaze burned through her bedroom, where the iron was in a closet, and caused about &10,000 in damage.
Firefighters arrived about 7:20 p.m. and contained the blaze to one room. It was under control in about 20 minutes.
Firefighters also rescued a white cat from the house.
