ST. PETERSBURG — Fire Rescue workers pulled a Palm Harbor firefighter from his Jeep Grand Cherokee on Thursday after the vehicle rolled over on Gandy Boulevard.
The unidentified firefighter was taken to a hospital in stable condition, said Lt. Joel Granata, St. Petersburg Fire Rescue spokesman.
The man was eastbound on Gandy when he crashed west of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street N, he said. His vehicle landed in the bushes facing west.
Firefighters blocked one eastbound lane of Gandy as they cleared the accident.
