The Distinguished Fellow vs NBC

The very LAST spider has crawled out of the corner. Well, not quite THE LAST, but ... this is a BIGGIE. Especially for a person like me who avidly decries the Sept. 11, 2001 myth that firefighters are 'the forgotten heroes'.

Well, and especially considering that all across America firemen and policemen and other city and county and utility workers are found to be stalking and harassing and intimidating citizens and activists. Because I was merely a citizen with an every day life until I had it pointed out to me that Tampa firemen were spending WAY TOO MUCH TIME around my car and then the rest evolved. A series of incredulous but well-documented events.

For a young girl whose family watched their house burn down four days after Christmas I've never taken a firefighter or any rescue personnel (fuck that first responder junk, too) for granted. I just never realized that they were stalking pigs and arsonists at the time. As I mentioned the other day; I've grown since then. So, I was more or less mystified when they were called 'forgotten heroes' after Sept. 11, 2001. No one I have ever met takes the police or firemen for granted. Still, for them, that's not enough. Apparently you must now FEAR THEM or learn to or ELSE. Whatever.

Anyway, this gentleman, John Hockenberry,(laid off from NBC four years later but let's not call him disgruntled; reading this will lay waste to that,anyway), a former "Dateline NBC" correspondent claims that in the aftermath of September 11, the network diverted him from reporting on al Qaeda and instead wanted him to ride along with the country's "forgotten heroes," firefighters.
YOU SEE: they were already building the myth. Part of the plan to glorify these guys so they could get away with anything and at the end of the Bush reign (if that ever really comes) they would own EVERYTHING. All the real estate, all the city council offices (wengay newton and three other st pete newly elected council members are firemen supported) They own very, VERY nice properties. All over the country blogs are popping up detailing the fact that cops and firemen are all building or buying houses in the same communities and then there will always be numerous high-end vehicles out front and through the entire yard. Drive through South Tampa. Drive through the better parts of the neighboring counties. Don't see any problem with THEIR water in these areas but I have confirmed that the water is BAD< VERY VERY VERY BAD in three different zip codes in Tampa FL. That would probably be better defined as three different water sources but there you have it. One is Ybor, one is close to Brandon and one is 33604 -- make that four --- one is also in 33616 or 33611 but NOT the whole neighborhood because I know others who live there whose water is fine. One bath is all you need to know how bad the water is. Especially if you have really long hair.

Sorry, back to the story. BUT, what I"m continually driving at is that this is ALL part of the story. ALL OF IT. Firemen, cops, bad water, property scamming, foreclosures, stalking, political fright, terrorism ... it's all the same swirl of illegal shit and it's happening all over. If you're oblivious you probaby just forgot how connected you are. LOL!! Listen, I'm pretty connected TOO but I'm telling you when they want something from you .... they'll pick up a child and throw it under a car. Or have someone just run the child over. They're kinda sickening people who live by a code that could never be considered honorable. Ironically enough, I know many of these folks personally (hey you grow up in Tampa if you wanna talk to people .... these are the people in Tampa, no problem but ... if they had JUST ONE person capable of real communication they would be much more effective) If I had not socialized ever in all of my life some of these folks would still be people I deal with and some I even have feelings for and respect on some level. Not so much on the business angle. I prefer real, actual acumen to ... piled up NASTINESS. They've forgotten there IS a difference. LOL. Minor difference looking rather large... to some.

So this guy's boss at NBC wanted him to ride along with the firemen because:
then-NBC programming chief Jeff Zucker, who came into a meeting Hockenberry was having with "Dateline" executive producer David Corvo, said "Dateline" should instead focus on the firefighters and perhaps ride along with them a la "Cops," the Fox reality series.

According to Hockenberry, Zucker said "that he had no time for any subtitled interviews with jihadists raging about Palestine."


It's unfortunate that John Hockenberry seems to be so far out of touch with reality," an NBC spokesperson said. "The comments are so utterly absurd, we will have no further comment." Another NBC executive said it didn't sound like Zucker, who was promoted out of the news division and was at one time "Today" executive producer.

Holy shit. Did NBC host of REALITY SHOWS just SAY that someone was more unrealistic than THEM??? LOL !!!

Hockenberry is a distinguished fellow at the MIT Media Lab in Cambridge, Mass. But for more than 20 years, he was a broadcast journalist working at National Public Radio, ABC News and from 1996-2005, a correspondent at "Dateline." Hockenberry's blistering article trained much of its fire on the controversial NBC newsmagazine, which has been criticized for its "To Catch a Predator" series -- a "highly rated pile of programming debris," in Hockenberry's words.

YES - 'to catch a predator' .. I LOATHE TV especially since King 'orge ascended and even I have heard that this is the worst, stupidest, most dangerous show YET.
Swell on you, NBC. Your talent seems to be dragging the bottom of the cesspool like Tampa media these days.....

BUT, for the rest of the world who isn't (or thinks that you're not) being stalked by freaks in firetrucks and cops and verizon and brighthouse and YMCA folks (LOL!!!)
this is even MORE important: CHECK OUT GE and their cozy relationship with Bin Laden and covering up the rest of the story due to their lucrative business relationship with same. Man, ya gotta LOVE that this story took two years to come out but he got it done.

IAnother bombshell is Hockenberry's claims that General Electric, NBC's parent company, discouraged him from talking to the Bin Laden family about their estranged family member. Hockenberry asked GE, which does business with the Bin Laden family company, to help him get in contact with them. Instead, a PR executive called Hockenberry's hotel room in Saudi Arabia and read a statement about how GE didn't see its "valuable business relationship" with the Bin Laden Group as having anything to do with "Dateline."

See, if you hold the mirror up to that just a little you see that perhaps ... just perhaps our news was bought and subverted BEFORE any of the Sept. 11, 2001 events. Well, DUH. What it has to do with Bin Laden is a big mystery to me because I'm not even sure there IS a Bin Laden. LMAO !!! Come out with your bedpan and your dialysis machine with your HANDS UP. hmmmmmm. It's foliage to cover up that the news was NOT going to cover the real story and let anyone DIG. Not someone with MSM clout, baby. Remember we have said goodbye to Jennings, Bradley, Rather, Rosenbaum, Ivins and TOO MANY OTHERS who told the truth. Especially Jennings and Ivins and Rosenbaum. No, not especially them; I take that back. ALL OF THOSE WHO TOLD THE TRUTH WERE DEALT WITH. One way or another.

In another instance, Hockenberry claimed a story he did about a Weather Underground member wouldn't appear on the Sunday edition of "Dateline" unless its lead-out, the 1960s family drama "American Dreams," did a show about "protesters or something." And for another story on the abuse of mentally ill inmates, Hockenberry was told by a producer that video of a fatal attack on a prisoner by guards wasn't enough.


OF course not. Was it in Florida??

Here they get beat to death about as often as they are assisted. Prisoners or not.
