A Murderer in the Family

Some people in Tampa get more than one. BUT, it's a huge source of pride to have a murderer in your family, apparently.
Be he a blatant murderer like the Tampa Fireman's nephew who clocks little old ladies over the head in between trafficking runs of cocaine OR the Tampa Fire Paramedic who tkes out the victims he or she is supposed to rescue.

OR covers up the REGUAR BEATINGS of his toddler daughter as did Chad Davis for his wife Cherryl(please note the useless extra letter) Tuggles, Barnett, gobbledy goop Davis before his family threatened to have him arrested.

Despite her rather VIOLENT arrest record and the FAILURES TO APPEAR Cherrrryl Barnett Tuggles Gobbledy Goop Davis received PRE TRIAL INTERVENTION.

So now the baby will be at risk for EVER.

Thank god at least some family members seem to care about the life of the child.

Also she was declared indigent. HMMMM. Last I checked paramedics are making about FORTY FOUR GRAND A YEAR. NIce job by the public defender who seems to have selectively risen from it's collective ass.

Or possibly lackadaisical activity on the part of the State's Attorney. There's that KUHN name again.

DADE CITY — Deputies visited the home of Justin and Tanya Dykas on Saturday and found four children living in "deplorable and unsafe living conditions," according to a Pasco County Sheriff's Office report.
The children, ages 2, 5, 7 and 10, had no clean clothes, the report said. The children's beds were covered in feces, deputies said, and the floor of the home at 41305 Dykas Lane was damp from urine, feces and leaking pipes. The toilet didn't work.
Tanya Dykas told deputies the children defecated on the floor, and she used to clean it up but got tired of doing so, the report said.
Chickens lived in the home, and an electrical short caused the stove to jolt anyone who tried to turn it on, the report said. The family's food was kept in an algae–covered fridge in the yard, the report said. Inside, deputies said, they found ketchup, orange juice, mold, rotting beans and what appeared to be chicken feces.
One of the children told deputies the adults do not buy groceries because the rats get into them.
Justin and Tanya Dykas, both 29, were charged with four counts of child neglect. Both were released Sunday from the Land O'Lakes jail on $40,000 bail.
Tanya Dykas was arrested four years ago on a child neglect charge after deputies found a 3-year-old child wandering a mile from home with no shirt and no shoes. Court records show the charge was dropped several weeks later.[Last modified: Feb 01, 2010 10:25 PM]

Judge Under Fire For Going Easy On Firefighter Who Stalked Ex-Wife

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- An Orange County judge is under fire for going easy on an Orlando firefighter who was convicted of stalking his ex-wife. Judge Jerry Brewer is being accused of cutting the firefighter a break, because the judge is a former Orlando firefighter.
Judge Brewer would not talk to Eyewitness News about Orlando firefighter Derek Lennon's stalking case, but he's catching heat for what he said during the trial and sentencing last month.
While the jury was deliberating, microphones in the courtroom recorded Judge Brewer reminiscing with defendant Lennon about his own days with the Orlando Fire Department years ago.
"It was station 12, I guess. You had the two stations on either side," Brewer is heard saying on the recording.
Moments later, the jury came back with a guilty verdict convicting Lennon of stalking his ex-wife, even putting a GPS on her car to track her. Judge Brewer asked her what sentence she thought was fair.
"I really feel like whatever the maximum sentence he could receive, he should get," stalking victim Robin Lennon told him. "I'm afraid of him."


Derek Lennon
The maximum would have been a year in jail, but Judge Brewer did not send him to jail and then, to the astonishment of people in the courtroom, completely wiped the jury's guilty verdict off his record. He didn't want the stalker to lose his job.
"There's no doubt in my mind that if you were adjudicated guilty the city would absolutely terminate your employment," the judge said.
Court watchdog Laura Williams said she's never seen Judge Brewer erase a jury's conviction before.
"I think it's unconscionable for a judge to show that type of favoritism to somebody and I think it's because they were both firefighters that he did that," Williams said.
The firefighter's ex-wife would not talk to Eyewitness News for fear Lennon would retaliate.
If Lennon violates his one-year probation, he could end up facing tougher sanctions.
