THEN when on the off chance the FDLE actually FINDS the misreporting in the Tampa Police Dept stats ... the shitty of Tampa official-ites can shrug collectively and say .. . 'budget cuts' and the murder rate can shoot back up. NOT THE RAPES.

Oh and there's this .... from Pam I urge every department/division head in this organization to scrutinize your budgets for all ways
to save monies. Look at different ways to do business, eliminate activities that are not absolutely essential to our mission and make the cuts lasting. Any savings made in fiscal year 2007 will help the fiscal year 2008 impacts.

From Tommy Sticks of Fire Wait - is the city currently spending monies on non-essential services? Also, note the hiring freeze in effect immediately. Of course, Mayor Pam hired her new Transit Manager (at $95K/year) just yesterday! What a lucky coincidence.
